I'll never understand why this was the X Ambassadors single that didn't get famous. Their others are great too, but so far, this is their crown jewel.

This is the one that got them worldwide famous by getting them a record deal after Dan Reynolds eard it on 96X. So it did an awesome job of boosting them.

I see a few people here trying to decipher what this song and video is about...I obviously can't say exactly but for me - becoming a child of the 'system' at the age of two, being taken from my mother's care and then back to her at the age of six, only to be abused and taken again. Being split from my brothers and any family that I was ever to know. Left with no identity. People look to who they 'are' based on their family. I look and I am a 'nothing'.... there is nothing that can console a lifetime of not knowing who you are, of having nothing to base yourself on, not even knowing where your eyes, ears or nose comes from. To know you have brothers that are from the same place as you but never knowing them. But just knowing that they are out there, same as you, that keeps you strong. Your personal, yet to be known, pillars of strength. That's my definition of "inconsolable" - nothing can sooth a life time of loss.

You don't need my sorry. I know. I had dozens of holes burnt in me. Being silently mad was my average mood. I tried to cover the pain with "fun"...done some dumb things.. one woman gave me bible once. I laughed at her face. but didnt throw it out for some reason. Later, I started having nightmares, fear at nights was driving me crazy ..Absolutely nothing helped..heart froze every time and i was just laying half dead afraid to even turn on the lights.. One night i grabbed the bible and read some random places..until i fell asleep..non of what i read made any sense..but fear went away. I started sleeping with bible under my pillow..I read it only after nightmares and never when everything was fine..until happened something that made me wanna die. then first time in my life i asked God for some sense and help while crying in the shower. I started reading bible from the first page daytime. after i completed it..I understood everything about myself, my past. Kept on reading and miracles started happening. I changed. I learnt how to smile cencereley ..how to not be mad all the time..i was surprised every time i opened my mouth..i was saying things that were wise and that i'd never think i could say..Every single whole I had got filled with God's love. All my fears disappeared! Instead of nightmares I have spiritual visions. That are amazing. I know who I am , why I am here and where I am going. Reading bible on a daily basis. That book brings life to my bones. And today I'm telling you Jesus came to this world, to take all YOUR pain away. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BARE THE WEIGHT YOU'RE CARING! When no one loved us Jesus did! When no one cared He did! You may think its bullshit , but would you lose anything if you'd bother to give it a chance?

I'm sure you guys have heard this often enough, but, this song makes me cry every single time I hear it. I have dedicated it to my life. My family. And especially my mother and my father. My father is relentless in his love for a woman that cannot care for herself anymore. I lost her 7 years ago when her mind turned to mush and he still fights. I love this song because it is me screaming on the inside. It is me screaming to hold on. When I have no fight left...

+annabanana This video is empowering. The sad scene with the social worker dragging the kids away was foreshadowing. Would the adult have intervened/felt sympathetic in the bullying scene/seen later in the video had be not been saved himself? It just goes to show how helping others or performing an act of humility, can in turn spark a chain reaction that could somehow change the future of others. Let us all please take a second everyday to try and make such a strong impression on someones life that they will be empowered to do the same for someone else? This kind of thing can change the world, you just have to try..

I looked the up definition of unconsolable online and it redirected me to this: in·con·sol·a·ble ˌinkənˈsōləb(ə)l/ adjective (of a person or their grief) not able to be comforted or alleviated. "those left homeless by the fire were inconsolable" synonyms: heartbroken, broken-hearted, grief-stricken, beside oneself with grief, devastated, wretched, sick at heart, desolate, despairing, distraught, comfortless; miserable, unhappy, sad; literary heartsick.

Trey Harmon Well its basically like a mirror. For instance when the man finds the 2 kids and picked them up. Than it would cut to the scene of the friend picking the dude off the couch. So in the video it was kinda mimicking what happen to the blonde haired dude as a child
@PSNSolarian10 жыл бұрын
Lazy Dorkthat's what I thought, thanks!
@karissalund944310 жыл бұрын
I actually think that, yes it was mimicking what happened to the blonde guy as a child at the beginning, but the main idea of the video is that the two brothers (the blonde kid and the kid in the letterman jacket) got seep rated when they were little, and then they found each other at the end. He wasn't able to save him when they were little but he did when they were grown.

Being Un/Inconsolable means to not able to be comforted or alleviated. If you relate yourself to this, mainly after times of rough; there are people here for you, you aren't alone. WE WILL stay together, thick as thieves, butter and bread, pillars of colonial homes.

id like to see a remix of this song with metal core screaming in the background, it'd sound really powerful!

The most beautiful music I have ever listened to. If the Grammys wasn't a cooperate gay parade, this guys would have gotten a Grammy.

Mayah W It's because its not about girls, drugs, partying or a mix of all three. We should really be saying a prayer for the people who find that music better than music with an important meaning behind it.

I still remember I used to play Need for Speed Most Wanted in summers of 2013. 7 years later today, 7th of May 2020, I’m grown up but since we’re all in a lockdown and the workload got me frustrated I was finding games to play but didn’t knew where to start, luckily found NFSMW and installed it. This track banged onto my ears as I was playing the game and the nostalgia was a hard hit. That’s my story of rediscovering this song. Thanks NFS & X Ambassadors for the amazing childhood.

I choreographed an entire dance to this piece music and it's still one of my favorite songs... it has withstood a test that very few pass. All other songs ought to bow.
