11:00 - it's normal, you need a solar converter for charge you laptop, because the current of solar panel is DC direct current, you laptop charge only with AC ( altertaive current) not DC, so you buy a solar converter with a solar converter you can charge you laptop

10% of smartphone battery life without using flight mode in five minutes is impressive! Would have been awesome to know how much the laptop charged when turned off. This is of course pretty optimal environment with scortching sun.

Nice video mr Offcourse (many off courses ;) ) anyway you gave a few nice examples, appreciated. The only general advice I give is always get kabels out of the round loop, not everyone knows but cable loops drain energy, at the aend with the laptop th ecable was fully rolled out so yout got the full power.

You have to angle the solar panel to optimize the intake. Laying it flat you're not going to get a good amount of draw. Pretty sweet portable panel though.

A little late response but powerbanks are USUALLY fine with solar panels. However with older panels and technology without smart functions there has been some compatibility issues with certain powerbanks not charging or smartphones not accepting current after one cloud that lowered the charging current. With newer models and mentions of smart charging etc. this should be fixed. Just letting you and possibly others reading this know.

@rickytlc19854 жыл бұрын
This ones portable. Can charge Smartphones very efficiently and even a Laptop. Works better when the Laptop is off. Tablets should also be easy. The tech and efficiency of the panels has greatly improved.

ac units suck a ton of watt hours and have a big spike to get the pump going. my emergency ac is a wall unit that will consume about 600 watts on one of the settings, (but i dont remember if that was low setting or not)..... continuous and surge is about 1700 watts, to run it for an hour would be 600 watt hours. to run it for 8 hours would be 4800wh. to build a battery bank that could deliver 4.8kwh over 8 hours would take 12v x 8 100ah batteries (50% dod) to deliver 4.8kwh. you should not string more than 4 batteries in parallel, so you can do 2s4p for 24 volts, or 4s2p for 48 volts. 48 volts would be better as it brings your amps down. then mppt charge controller, and you can get 16 100 watt panels to get your 4.8kw per (sunny) day, and wire them 4s4p, i have never built a system that big, maybe you could do 6s2p to get those amps back down on the panels, not sure though. also, i didnt take peukarts law into account in any of the above and buid agm bank...i bought 3 dokio 300 watt foldable panels recently and they do not do what they claim, i thought i was getting 900 watt and the most i have ever seen is 200 watts from each panel, but on average peak 140 watts per 300 watt panel.

Get you a power bank or 2 and charge that outside instead of your cell phone. Cell phones dont belong in the heat or sun. Plus power banks are way cheaper. Put the power bank under the panels too. Out of the sun

Dear divine brother thank you for posting your review of the X-Dragon solar charger. Are you ok if I give you concise feedback? When you say "of course" many times it made me smile. "again" or "once again", or "as I said" are similar. The repetitive use of these specific words leads to misunderstanding, talking about "presentation", "sales", "teaching", or "marketing" language guidelines. For example, if you attend Toast Masters meetings in America, or study conferencing or any subject presentation (giving a speech) you will notice these are small things for us to be corrected. Despite these minor details, I enjoyed 100% of your video. I would have preferred to see your face too, but hey I did not make the video, and not here in-person to help you! Maybe someday, right? Blessings to you and the family. Discovering your channel. Thank you for your good heart, for sharing your experience with the world, which is WONDERFUL. Om Anand Om. when you laid the unit out in the sun you kept saying "the unit is putting out a lot of juice" without knowing how much amps its delivering. for all we know its giving you 5volt 200ma, technically it is charging, but my phone's charger is rated at 4amps, and i have seen it go as high as 3.7 amps. i just now connected a 40 watt solar panel "charger" to my phone and measured the current and it was as low as 30ma lol, yes that is .03amps. now i did see it go all the way up to 5v 1.1 amps...who watch out thats some serious power lol. anyways, we should show numbers. when i get home from work its dark, other wise i'd shoot a video showing the numbers, maybe i will find a way to do it at work. also, i connected 3 different laptops and none of them charged, i am not surprised. it appears their is no charge controller here. with no charge controller, how does it decide the voltage to deliver, and if the sun isnt shining bright you will not get the amps, and the amps is what actually charges the battery. i will watch now the rest of your video and see how your system charged the laptop battery. btw I work in IT and i know the laptop expected a certain power range and if its not met you will have problems, not charging, not powering on, cpu throttling back etc etc or worse, maybe cause damage.

Is there one around 30-60 w that you could recommend to me? I was looking at the X dragon 40w for smaller power banks and needed something that would charge even in cloudy winter conditions. Ty man.
@jasonbrown467 Жыл бұрын
@@Nick-bo6rz i have bought many of these over the years. they are all about same in terms of performance, but they are different in cost. also i have found that on overcast days i can get about 1/10th of the rated power. so maybe go with a 100 watt foldable unit? i keep four 300watt units in my car. its some what of a test to see if they would get in the way. also i keep a 3.8kwh battery in there and psw inverter. it should make for some fun camping experiments this spring/summer.
@Nick-bo6rz Жыл бұрын
I understand and I appreciate your response. The issue I have with the 100 W panels is that they’re not compatible with smaller power banks. The current on them is usually 6 A rather than the 3 A so that would be double the power that my power bank would need, unless I mistaken. The solar panel I bought was the volt hero 120 w on Amazon for a 5v or 9v battery from nitecore and the portable one with solar panels from egretech. I’ve been searching for days I’m exhausted if you could help Me see if this is compatible with the power bank I got I’d appreciate that too man.
@jasonbrown46711 ай бұрын
@@Nick-bo6rz what makes them incompatible with yours? do you think its the current or the plug? my understanding is that your load will only ask for the amount of current it can handle. think about a laptop plugged into the wall. in my house my circuits can deliver 20amps at 120v, but if the laptop only needs 1 amp thats all that is given to the laptop.
