Even in today's live performances, the instruments don't sound that good. Now I'm not saying it's not X Japan playing their instruments, but the music was recorded prior (or after) and then overlayed ontop of the video. Watch this and then watch their Last Live performance of the song...in this version there are harmonies in the solo that require 3 guitars (when clearly they're using 2)
