I just completed the Losi MTXL wheel/tire conversion on my X-maxx and it cost me $393 total. * Losi Tires $160 * Losi Wheels $91 * Mad Max wheel adapters $41 * GPM wheel hubs $32 * HR Front Steering Knuckles $69 Well worth the money and in my opinion, the MTXL wheel/tires were meant for the X-maxx. I have the 8S ghost flame snap-on version of the X-maxx running in Floureon 4S 5200 mah 35C and its sick! My buddy had these wheels and they look and perform great..the added weight and mass requires you check your esc and lipos first few runs ..those are massive tires to get moving. And there heavy too.

OR, one can buy the RCMonster wheel adapters which will allow you to fit those Losi tires. Not only do the RCMonster adapters cost less than buying the HR knuckles, they eliminate the need to remove material from the front wheels.

udluuz Your first link isn't working but your second link is. On your second link, you'll notice there is a drop down menu towards the bottom of the item description in which you can choose adapters specifically made for use with the MTXL wheels. RCMonster makes two versions of their adapters, one is the extended MTXL version. Again, it's there, you just have to select the version you want in the drop down menu👍

I see that and really wished is was that easy but its not. This is from Mike at RC-Monster " Our adapters are basically custom wheel nuts that allow fitment of the 1/5 wheels - any mods required to clear the knuckles mist still be addressed "

I couldn’t find a 19 mm stone tip for my Dremel. A 3/4” drill bit worked perfectly. Just FYI, if anyone else asks about the wheel mod.

Yes sleeve goes in between inner and outer bearing and old bearings are re-used let me know if you need any other help

I see you created this Video in February. I have a 6s Xmaxx. Original . Nothing Modded..Can you honestly say now that some time has passed from February. Is this $500 Mod worth it? i'm big on Monster Truck Look and i would like to have this same setup. If i go ahead and invest in exactly the parts you have listed. do you still recommend it? it's a lot of money and big risk but if i had some assurance then that will motivate me. ..have you Rode the Xmaxx with those Tires a few times? any problems yet? no regrets? please advise before i make this move..Appreciate it..

Thanks, that is a GoPro Hero Session placed inside a underwater case. I drilled holes in them so it will pick up sound and not be muffled.

NP, the heavy duties were 60c rating at 5000mah same for 3s when running 6s. Definitely you want a higher C rating and 5000mah and above to help your electronics

Sorry your having a hard time, yea try to get that going if you can. The box works but its a hit or miss. You have to make changes 1 at a time. If you do more than 2 changes at once it doesn't read for some reason. That's my experience. If you do use the box make a change, disconnect, plug back in and make sure it read the parameter change. Also start with those parameters I sent you regarding the start power and braking that should ease the endo when braking

funny you should ask I just stripped the plastic 54 tooth spur on some tall grass. Definitely wanna use the steel spurs with these bigger wheels and tires. Will try a steel hot racing 52 or 50 spur next

iTz Veno Do you have the 13mm wheel hubs? These 13mm are thicker than stock which are 10mm I think. If you have the Hot Racing carriers they should not rub. I had to put on the wheels and crank hard left and right and trim a couple of times so the don't rub

It's a sick MT ! Some say its underpowered ....that tell me they either don't own one or they are running crap batteries . I have set these up for customers several times and it is as fast as I would want for a monster truck. Ever see a full size monster truck? There made to conquer and destroy ...not out run a Porsche 911 ! Yea it's silly expensive ..but it's worth every dime.
