Keep in mind the Losi is nearly 40 pounds and it’s beating what suppose to be a faster lighter truck. I will take a OBR 34cc 10 hp GAS engine over a electric rig any day. I will be still running on one tank of gas while your charging your Prius.

nitro vs electric.... I'll take electric anyday. I had nitro... got too messy with limited run times. Nice comparison though.

Tom Glander that's not nitro. It's gas. way less maintenance than nitro, it the same as a weed eater. run time is 45+ minutes on a tank and you can just top it off and go more. How loud it is depends on what exhaust system you put on it.

Good lord...That Losi must have $1000 just in upgrades, I mean look at all the aluminum! Is this even fair? That X-Maxx looks bone stock minus the dirt cover. Just changing the spur gear on the X-Maxx can make a 15 mph difference for a cost of like $8-12 USD. So now we are comparing a $2000+ truck to a $1000 truck. Am I far off? For the record I am a nitro fan till death! Cool video either way! I up voted!

Wow about what I thought close race electric is definitely made the gap, I had a t maxx 3.3 and wondered if the the gas was any faster, I now own an 8s x maxx and love it nothing against the gas but the quiet is nice and the 0 tuning issues is definitely a plus and nitro tank vs battery time is about the same I’m sold on electric now days there just so even anymore and there’s no tuning, both amazing cars though

That's a joke right? The 5T is clearly spinning. Anyone with eyes could see if it had proper tires it would have smoked the 6s. That said an 8s would likely be faster. Still a stupid argument to compare an electric to a 2 stroke gas. Also...10 years ago almost no electric would beat a nitro or 2 stroke gas. It's only recent tech that allows it.

@@teamhex can stick almost any engine you want in that losi, I've seen ones with 90cc engines in them. I've seen ones capable of doing over 100mph. The vids are on KZbin. I looked into some batteries that would get me around 1 hour run time from an xmaxx £450 I was quoted lol just need a fast charger then... So another £200 for a decent one. Need some spare batteries so can have two on charge while running the others... Oh now ive spent £900 on batteries £200 on charger and £1000 on the car, and the batteries ain't gonna last forever. In a year or so probably need replacing (if your lucky). Yeah electric so much cheaper... Hahaha my arse, that losi can be had for £1200 all in
