I love that Juggernaut is consistently an X-man now. Putting him in the X-men was one of the best things that Chuck Austin did back in his controversial run and although I understand Juggernaut’s heel turn back to villain in World War Hulk, I just feel like he’s better served as an ally to the X-men after all his character development over the years.

The difference between Frosts connection and Quentins connection to the Phoenix is Quentin is a "destined" phoenix host, whatever that means, rather than having just a piece of his power. He is suppose to be a full host of the Phoenix, like Jean is now, sometime in the future.

I love the enthusiasm for the issue that I haven't read yet, as I have been ill unable to pick it up, but the review is good. I've always enjoyed Cyclops, and I don't mind his hard-liner militant position at times, there are times that he is a little bit of a double standard. The Jean, Storm response if Cyclops was to die, like you mention wouldn't be quiet, and a whole host of mutants have disliked what Scott says or does, they still respect and love him for his leadership, willingness to sacrifice himself if necessary for the others, which is something that I get the feeling that people feel that Xavier uses mutants for his own ends. My view is that Scott in many ways acts like Charles Xavier, and takes extremes in protecting mutants, whether with their own life or others, if it leads to something they can live with. Scott has always been a tactician of the X-Men, planning when possible, or shoot from the hip. The phoenix saga, where five of them received the phoenix force, he as all too quick to take Emma's power from her and fight when Xavier tried to stop him and killed him. He justified it was necessary for his own ends. His support for the Krakoa era indicated that mutants needed to be recognized, just as his stance after his phoenix powers were removed and his return to normal, held accountable, escaped and joined with Magneto & Emma for the Brotherhood, which the remaining X-men remained distant to. In all, we'll have to see how his current holding Xavier position at a distance holds up, since it's unclear the destruction of the United States space craft that Xavier destroyed weren't actually piloted by actual humans wasn't accurate. During the Phoenix sage of the mutants getting the phoenix force, fight avengers & mutants alike, would there not have been damage, destruction & death caused by them regardless of the intent? I'm looking forward to reading this issue that was reviewed. Mahalo.

This whole “resurrection disease” that Magneto has makes NO sense! He wasn’t resurrected the same way that other mutants were. This is the same crap Marvel pulled after AvX when Magneto’s powers were messed up “because of the Phoenix” just like Cyclops and Emma but Magneto wasn’t actually a Phoenix host. Come on Marvel, those are glaring plot holes. I hope this is a fake out but if it is then why don’t any of the other mutants (Beast especially) notice it?

Most definitely Cyclops death would cause more trouble for him than it would if he had pulled the trigger on Xavier. Of all the individuals in the universe Phoenix and Storm are the only two he will have to worry about. I honestly don’t think Quentin will be able to get Jean’s attention even if he was the Phoenix and she was just plan ol’ Marvel Girl…no one is stopping Jean…it would have to be Storm and not because she’s the Eternal Storm but because of the connection and sisterhood they have and this is vice versa if either one would loose it beyond comprehension. But couldn’t Phoenix just bring him back…even if it’s the same way Storm brought Magneto back? I wish there was another event where Storm could’ve had a Rogue Storm arc Isn’t Stacy X Black?

One thing. Jean is no longer powered by the Phoenix. She’s finally for the first time ever allowed herself to fully embrace, accept the Phoenix. The first they are finally fully bonded as one. There is no separation of where Jean ends and the Phoenix begins. They’re one and the same.

But now that she’s fully merged with the Phoenix force her powers with it have multiplied. She is now probably more powerful than a celestial. And I’d guess her powers could rival that of a beyonder. She can see has and hear anything and everything everywhere. And you know she is monitoring the earth to ensure her family is safe. That was the whole point of if/when something happens to Scott best believe Jeanix will be moving across the universe light years at a time to lay down some haymakers on whoever takes him out.
