In the comics all the Marvel characters know each other, the XMen, the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers. They crossover all of the time. Nice to see it in the cartoons. Now they should do it in live action.

Just think about the episodes that the director recommended to wxtch from the original series to prepare for this finale: one episode dealt with the immediate aftermath of Days of Future Past where Magneto tries to start mutant liberation by kidnapping senator kelly before they have to rescue him from Master Mold, another episode dealt with Magneto leading mutants into Asteroid M so that they can be left alone from humanity only for his plan to backfire because one of his followers was an extremist and wanted to nuke the human race as revenge, the other episode deals with a world where the xmen had no professor x so it was dystopian. Every episode was leading to the same conclusion that the UN lady said in this episode: Magneto Was Right. He has exhausted all other options and with the Genosha massacre, Magneto has had enough and declared war on humanity. The layers to this story is insane.

Val should be Val. She’s gone through a huge character arc and lots of character development. To reveal her as Mystique now would undercut and undermine the writing of the show and her character growth. It also shows that even anti-human mutants are capable of learning and being better.

FYI. If you remember the episode from the original series where Bishop goes back in time to prevent the death of Xavier and meets up with a married Storm and Wolverine, Bastion’s mother is the blonde white woman with glasses who points out to the racist pub owner about Bishop, Shard, and Storm hanging out and holding hands and his father was the guy in the leather jacket that later helps them in a fight.

An outstanding reaction and review video, gents. All I can tell you two intelligent brothers is to watch X-Men The Animated Series Season 4 two-parter "One Man's Worth" to find out how Bastion came to be, and find a way to read the Fatal Attractions storyarc from 1993 to have a hint as to what's to come. And I'm not talking the steamy thriller movie starring Michael Douglas and Glen Glose. X-Men's "Fatal Attractions" is an important milestone in the mythos of the X-Men and mutantkind as a whole. And you are correct about your warning that not everyone is making it out of this alive. When the X-Men become victorious against Bastion and his Prime Sentinels, and a justifiably enraged Magneto, it will be a pyrrhic victory. Very bitter and hard to live with. Bastion wanted Magneto to be released. That was part of his plan. Mystique is the UN lady for sure. Magneto just terminated all those prime sentinels but humans will only see it as humans that had been murdered.
