But to answer your question, apart from the EMP, that has killed every who hooked up to life support, or in a airplane, submarine, train..has died from the blackout. Not to mention a real EMP, would knock the Earth out of its natural rotation, and the rays from the sun would fry everyone on earth.

Unless they subvert expectations of those who know the story arc; Logan left the team for quite awhile when he lost his adamantium. With Rogue and Sunspot out, it would be a great opportunity to add Iceman and Angel back to the team. Bringing Angel in could be a way to introduce Apocalypse (and Archangel). He had the technology to re-bond the adamantium back into Wolverines bones.

I’m calling it now. Professor Xavier is going to psychically assault magneto that is going to end the electromagnetic pulse around the earth but it’s also going to set up the season two big bed which is going to be on slot and we are going to have a huge crossover with the fantastic force, Spider-Man the avengers and others because in the comics the onslaught storyline it took the entire marvel earthbound superheroes to stop.

If that's the case, that might be this series's version of Stryfe. As far as I know Stryfe hasn't appeared in the old series (unless he was a cameo when Apocalypse put all those psychics in the tubes)

I think Forge will betray the team. Forge is a technopath too. He hasnt acknowledged knowing Bastion, yet there is a photo of them together. He spoke about his Leg not being impacted by Magneto because he had thought about a solution prior to the occurrence. How convenient 🤔 Also, what about the inhibitor collar? Bastion has it, but do you think he’ll just dispose of it? Of course not.

Cable will have to time travel to save Jean, Gambit, and restore Wolverines adamantium. The roster is further diminished with Rogue and Sunspot siding with Magneto. Maybe we'll see Iceman and Colossus in the mix to bolster the team. I think this will segue into introducing Apocalypse.

Overall decent episode; however these are my critiques: Jean and Cyclops should have gone together with Morph to subdue Sinister and Bastion, Cable should have been on Astroid M, Morph should have stayed in Hulk form, Nightcrawler should have taken Magneto's helmet before he took his sister and Roberto, Xavier should have taken action while he had his entire team at his disposal, Beast and Forge should have looked Storm dead in the eyes and told her it was Earth or her trauma, Storm should have wiped out all of the sentinels the way she did in EP.1, Magneto should have dropped Asteroid M right on top of Bastion's Island, and Wolverine should have gone for the head. I would have accepted any or all of these critical changes to see logical, realistic, and story-driven alterations to this episode.

Feel free to explain how you think that Nightcrawler would die trying to get Magneto's helmet though, I am genuinely curious. Do you also believe that Nightcrawler was right for standing in shock when Rogue dropped Trask? Writing away character abilities for story progression is lazy writing. If the writers didn't want to use Nightcrawler's abilities in Magneto, they should have sent him with Gold Team to subdue Bastion more efficiently.

Magneto flies way, way, way faster than he does on the cartoon...even then...he flies into Space like it's nothing. Magneto has no abilities that affect Nightcrawler 's teleportation? Force field..bends light to make himself invisible...can shift gravity...wtf.....Magneto is damn near a God. Beat the Phoenix in like 3 panels. Slaps Thor around. Iron Man is scared of him.

I'm really curious how this ends because I'm not sure of the writers read this all the way through before they worked on it. What I mean is it's very good but there's no possible way to see Xavier as the good guy. At best he is a negligent and abusive teacher with delusions of grandeur and narcissism at worst he is literally the bad guy completely out of control substituting his vision of the world for events that actually happened while he was nowhere around. He's coming off as somewhere between David koresh and Chairman Mao

Honestly, I'm confused. How is Magneto to blame for anything? He was trying Xavier’s way and then Genosha happened. Thousands of mutants died. Yet he's a target? That part of this doesn't make sense to me at all… if they are trying to bring onslaught into this, my question would be why? Bastion is more than enough for this story line. The messiah complex was one hell of an arc and it’s clear that elements from that run is being displayed on this show. Maybe Bringing in Onslaught is setting it up for next season. But the transition to that is not well scripted in my opinion. You go from mutants being hunted down and killed. Magneto literally saving lives to then being in a fight with the X-Men? The man who saved the lives of mutants and the X-Men by shutting down the sentinels? This altercation with him was def avoidable based on that premise alone. Looking forward to next week tho!

Feral Wolverine, Onslaught, and the Avengers for season 2. LFG I have a theory about what might happen as a possibility for season 2. Now it has been hinted at that the creators that are doing X-Men 97 this suggests that the idea of an Avengers versus X-men is not off the table, so there could be a possibility that when Xavier becomes Onslaught he will manipulate the X-Men into attacking the humans and it'll be up to the powerful Mighty Avengers to stand in their way and maybe even free them in the process from onslaughts control. Which we know will lead up to a confrontation against the all-powerful mutant and it will take the strength of The Avengers, The Fantastic Four and the Hulk to put a dent in his armor. After the battle the X-Men will believe that the Avengers and the Fantastic Four were killed during the onslaught confrontation this could also set up the return of apocalypse and even Wolverine getting his adamantium skeleton again from the age old mutant from Egypt does making Wolverine the horsemen of War alongside Gambit as The Horseman of death.

@@Weezytecktonik that was in the cartoon universe that they established. In the comic books Wolverine really did have bone claws as it was established that he always had them. Even in the miniseries Wolverine Origins had established that the bone claws were always a part of his mutation and that the adamantium on his bones was a way for his healing factor to focus on it. If he never had the metal on his bones he would have ended up looking like sabertooth.

The Phoenix left Jean, so she doesn’t have the power anymore. And why would the Phoenix return to earth to revitalize Jean? That would be a stupid storyline. That would be absolutely stupid. And just because wolverine joined apocalypse in the comics, that doesn’t mean that the cartoon would go down that line. The cartoon has never gone too far into comic book territory.
