I think X-Men 97 is proving that animation may be the best medium for superhero story telling. There is so many aspects they can pull off in animation that live action SFX either cost so much to do or won't come off believable. And we still care about these animated characters and feel the emotional journey so well. Just my opinion.

I think if the season ends with Genosha being wiped out the best way to convey that to the audience is to have them witness Leech being killed by a sentinel. Then at the beginning of season 2 move on to krakoa and begin the season with the resurrection of Leech by The Five.

In the original series, I thought that Morph could only mimic the appearance of other mutants, but now it seems that he can duplicate their abilities as well? Pretty much makes him the most powerful mutant of all, right? Also having Bishop take baby Nathan into the future to heal him doesn't make sense because he's going to ask Forge to heal him. But why doesn't he just try to find Forge in the current day?

In the original comic book story they had to take Nathan way into the future to get the science necessary to heal him, I liked that better. But no big deal. As for Morph so far he seems to be able to duplicate power sets, Archangel's wings, blob's size, etc. But maybe there is a limit to his abilities.

Episode 1 was set up from the end of season 5 of the original series. Episode 2 is mostly a reaction to that. Episode 3 was set up to happen and predictable. Based on that pace, i dont think the wnd of Genosha is going to happen this season. There are some other storylines that should happen before the end of Genosha. But i do think sentinels will be back before the end of the season.
