The Jubilee thing... she's literally nostalgia personifies. "Does a mall babe eat chili fries?"... She has honestly never had a good story about her. Her best story was being Wolverine's sidekick, which was a retread of Kitty and not done as well. They can't figure out what to do with her so much that they turned her into a vampire.

It had 2 great Quicksilver scenes, a Wolverine scene, they finally teamed up to defeat the main villain,( the reason he didn't designate everyone is because his mind was fighting Prof X and every one else was fighting his body), Magneto had a very emotional scene, and Cyclops was being set up as the leader great. Only valid criticism in my mind is that it is muddled.

I had three take-aways from this movie: 1. Apocalypse's secret wish is not to take over the world, but to become a fashion designer. 2. Fox is still mad at the MCU for killing Quicksilver and having them in the second Avengers movie, so they kill the Scarlet Witch in retaliation. 3. Deadpool is the best X-men movie and he isn't even an X-man.

Wasn't Age of Apocalypse over the course of an entire year, not 6 months? I haven't read the issues since the late 90s so my recollection is hazy but it seems like it was longer than a years worth of issues.

Jesus, Joel. The world can repopulate itself with just 50 people according to estimates. I think Rob is confusing the comic version of Apocalypse with the 90s cartoon version. I don't recall him being portrayed as being behind everything in the comics.

I thought these guys would've talked more about the scenes in the movie or at least give a breakdown of each character; but it's still an entertaining vid, for us true X-fans. They are right, these aren't X-men movies, they are "the Singer-Verse". The whole thing with Apoc being weaker during the end of the movie should've been explained away as he was getting weaker, because it was about time for him to get a new body. That would've given more reason for him having his Horsemen. Apoc should've explained which aspect of the Apoc each Horseman represented. Mags should've been allowed to kill those factory workers & announced as the Horseman of Death. Storm should've been Famine, since she was starving. Archangel as war, since he was a cage fighter. Psylocke should've poisoned others minds, making her Pestilence. AA not being the son of a wealthy business owner should've been shown as his backstory. He should've been the one who was plotting to betray & replace Apoc, that would've gave him some personality & a character arch, which was in line with the comics. Psylocke should started to fall in love with AA & went along with his plan. They should've flown off together @ the end. I had the same idea of Bishop or Cable showing up to defeat Apoc. But in the end ProfX got killed, leading to the AoA in the next movie. Jubilee is a pretty cool character. Her powers would translate well into a live action movie, where she could blind others, short out machines, or blow stuff up with "fireworks". Not to mention propel herself for martial arts, or deliver a powerful punch. Basically all the tricks she did in the 90s cartoon. The entire Quicksilver scene was basically a rehash from DoFP. While entertaining, it made him entirely too fast & is getting a bit tedious at this point. I'm surprised QS punches actually hurt Apoc. It would've made more sense if QS ran around Apoc to create a vortex to suspend him helplessly in the air. The Wolverine scene was basically a rehash from X2 & thanks to the trailer, not surprising or even necessary. I would've preferred to see Scott, Jean & NC take out the Weapon X guards. I highly dislike J-Law as Mystique & this movie cemented it. She should've @ least had a fight scene with Psylocke. Mags is probably my fav X-men villains, but I'm tired of him in the movies now. That storyline of him "going str8" was just shoe horned in to give him a story arc. The same thing could've been done for any of the Horsemen to make them interesting. Him & ProfX have the exact same reused dynamics in every movie. Moira came back & did some things, including: did a "Dust" fakeout, kicked a guards ass with Psylocke-like martial arts skills, freed Apoc., & was the love interest of ProfX.

***** The Mystique and Stryker situation from DOFP = planet sized plot hole that was never addressed in the movie. BvS doesn't have any that big from what I recall. Killing three humans isn't impressive at all. And from what I remember it was Erik who used his powers to "shake the planet" and cause all that destruction. Now who's not PERCEPTIVE again? Seriously how are you going to say that trying to be a smart ass, then spell the word wrong? LOL!

***** In DOFP Logan was captured in 1973. If Apocalypse takes place a decade later then yeah weapon X did exist in the 70's. If you have proof that's not accurate please feel free to share. And no matter how you spin it, them not explaining how Stryker got his hands on Logan is huge. Also considering that the first time we see Supes in BVS he's killing a third word dictator, assuming he killed other people isn't that big of a stretch.

They should have made Sinister before Apocalypse. X-men always was an allegory for racism and bigotry, in the 80s you started to get acceptance but only if you were "one of the good ones" i.e. good looking/hard working. What better time to introduce the Morlocks, ugly mutants forced to hide and steal from society in the sewers while good looking x-men enjoyed private property campus life. Nightcrawler could easily be one and Mystique could have been a sort of liaison belonging to the two worlds. Storm also had history with the Morlocks and so did Caliban who also at some point was a horseman of Apoc, if i recall correctly. Have Jean, Angel and Iceman already in the school and make Cyclops join them and focus the story on those characters, at some point let them go to the sewers and you can easily imagine a fight between them and the Marauders, hired by Sinister, And have Gambit save the day, to test the water for fan reactions for the spin off movie. And of course Angel cruxifiction. Sinister get fascinated by Jean and Scott DNA and gets his hands on some through the marauders. You get the original x-men in one team, a story from the 80s, a topical subject with natural born priviledges, and a good setup for Cable and Apocalypse story. At the end, Xavier takes all the Morlocks in the school, and we get crazy looking mutants in school untill next movie when Apocalypse comes and wipes them all of because they are weak, because thats what Apocalypse does! He's all about "survival of the strongs" not "im God" BS. But you guys are right this is the Singer-verse not the Me-verse or the comic x-men-verse *sob* By trying to link his previous movies from a decade ago and keep a vague sense of continuity, we get a half-decent movie, the lower half.

They are making the same mistakes that DC is with Batman Vs Superman and rushing the super villain without any set up. They need more in between movies with lesser villains to develop characters, motivations, and increase the audience perception of the "greater threat" lurking behind. This is what Marvel has been doing with Thanos, and why Doomsday and Apocalypse were so laughable and uninteresting.
