The real creepy thing is when people start shiping the actors instead of the characters :/ (looking at you supernatural fandom)

The actors shouldn't feel attacked when someone ships their character with another one and of course fans have to be respectful and don't take things too far. There's a balance.

Part of the reason is the misleading marketing. They made it look like a grand finale to series and that they would face their greatest foe(Jean). But the movie was never made to be that. It was made to be psychological drama about Jean dealing with repressed trauma.

It's public knowledge they're keeping Ryan Reynolds, but that's more than likely due to the Deadpool movies being wildly successful. Deadpool kind of operates it's own continuity that doesn't directly impact the main X-Men movies so keeping Ryan Reynolds only makes sense.
