I never did like 20th Century Fox's take on Marvel in general, the X-Men films are trash compared to the Ultimate X-Men comics. I liked the Deadpool Trilogy though.

But I always hated most of the casting choices and weak depictions, the costumes look almost as embarrassing as the costumes from Joel Schumacher's Batman movies, and the plots were weaker than the original source material, what also bums me out is that half of the times: It turns from an epic movie to a superhero pØrnØ.

I've been playing Hulk, Marvel Nemesis, and Spider-man 1. Bought a ps2 because I wanted Marvel Nemesis so bad, finally got it and I only wish they had added more cutscenes and more diverse missions. Honestly, Hulk is the best one of these three, it actually plays pretty nicely which I can't say for Spider-man. Spider-man is fun but the turning function is so stiff that it fucks me up sometimes.

Sadly, with X-Men Next Dimension, the bad outweighs the good: Some stages are too dark, there's poor lighting, the controls are clunky and tedious, terrible A.I (Especially Rogue), blocking hardly works, and horrible game mechanics. I'm not really complaining about the character models, those are forgivable considering this is PS2. Much better off playing X-Men Legends 2, Rise of Apocalypse.
