They left their home as children in 1845. They fought in the American Civil War in 1861 through 1865. Then decades later, they fought in WWI in 1914 through 1918. 25 years later, they were recruited into the Howling Commandos by Captain America himself to serve in WWII and they were last seen in action at D-Day in 1944. One of them was captured by the Japanese and wasn’t found in 1945. They’ve been in hiding since 1962 all the way to 1972. They didn’t resurface until 1973 and fought in the Vietnam War. I love how for these scenes the filter is just like how it is in war movies for that genre. Movies about the Revolutionary and Civil Wars always in a kind of bright golden tint. Think The Patriot or Glory. WWI movies often have a dark brown tint. And WW2 movies usually have a silver tint. I think that's cool
@RAZR_Channel Жыл бұрын
Ya... The film Midway had the same gray tint you mentioned. and they certainly did a perfect 10 on this intro. It is my number one favorite intro since I've seen it. And that's probably about 15 years now. That's why this video got a good amount of use because this particular sequence is extremely well done and actually the film as a whole is extremely well done the script is very well thought out has a clear beginning and fills in all the loopholes… But most people couldn't get past the CGI and I will admit that the end fight was lackluster in the CGI aspect. I liked the set up of the fight on the top of the smokestack. And that wolverine and his brother stick together regardless… I would like to have seen more of Victor in the future but a trend wave of heat got started on this film and has never ended. Only now and the future of people coming back to it to realize that it was really groundbreaking and certainly deserves awards for this sequence alone. It brings us perfectly from Logan's childhood and it's the definition of an epic shot when they transition from them being young brothers to charging into war which is why I chose that for a thumbnail…
@RAZR_Channel Жыл бұрын
and to add to that the X-Men series is far better written than anything in the MCU. The MCU has its moments all of it but when it comes out to reviewing film Scripts in their entirety… X-Men is generally more well thought out. The first three major films didn't have as hard of an impact as these solo films. But at that time it was the early 2000s and they weren't getting a huge budget like they are today. So that was a crippling factor for them to go all the way with characters. All the X-Men characters have very deep origin stories but that's not what entertains kids with entertains the masses is action and people at full power without exploring they're human aspects which leads them to do the things they do with these films. For example both wolverine and magneto have extremely tortured lives one of which was explored with magneto in Apocalypse. I thought X-Men Apocalypse was a great film. They explore where Eric/magneto had tried the family life he wasn't always the way he is portrayed in the earlier films which he is older in his timeline. I'm not on the fan wagon of a character needs to be flawed in order to be legitimized… But I do agree that an infallible character such as superman ( before man of steel) was is an exceptionally boring character. Christopher Reeves gave it is best and did well enough in the 80s… As well as a super hero film could do in that time. But in Man of steel the truth central character is actually: Zod. He is the character we follow from start to finish. Super man it's kind of a tossing although he gets post of the attention. Zod's character is extremely well written… and man of steel would be far less without him. I might go as far as to say as the film would be a flop without the performance of Zod and crew…
