Too big, apparently, for as a single movie adaptation. X3: The Last Stand couldn't and neither could a second attempt later in Dark Phoenix. Probably should be a 2-parter like Infinity War and Endgame.

I have a request. What about a video explaining the ages of the Fantastic Four children? Because it seems to me that Valeria ages faster than Franklin... it's kind of confusing. Love the channel, keep up the good work, congrats from Brazil!!!

I hear this idea about Cyclops leaving Madelyne Pryor so often it makes me think I may be crazy. Other people who read the first few X-factor issues, I'm not remembering this wrong am I? The way I remember it is that after Scott tests his ability to lead knowing he has a son he'd be leaving behind if he died he knew he wouldn't be able to do his job normally and made a big stink of it so no one would miss him or compare Storms leadership to his when he's gone. After that he lived on an island (or in the woods. Somewhere he and Madelyne could have a romantic cabin and avoid mutant trouble) but he couldn't ignore how bad things were getting for mutants back home and would secretly listen to the radio since Madelyne got really angry when anything mutant related came up. I remember thinking she had done a 180 on her personality and it might have had something to do with Sinisters programming. When he got the call that Jean was alive and had memory problems he begged Madelyne to let him go see her and she started to freak out, saying he was going to leave her for Jean. I even remember him suggesting she and the baby come with him so they can go on a romantic New York date, but that could be faulty memory. He was honest about his lingering feelings for Jean but tried to reassure Madelyne that he loved her and their son and wouldn't do anything to hurt them regardless of his history with Jean and he only wanted to help a friend who had helped him. She refused to go with him and said if he isn't back by a time limit she would take their son and run away where eh would never see them again. When he called Madelyne from the hospital to tell her he would be coming home soon she had left him a message on their answering machine saying not to come back, she's already taken their son and never to try and find them. With his life now throughly in shambles his oldest friends Angel, Iceman and Beast who had all found it difficult to become heroes on their own/with new teams without his leadership due to various reasons, decided to take advantage of him and draw them into a new team. (this is really scummy but very in character for them up to this point. OG X-Men didn't really focus on being good people) I haven't read much past that since I wanted to saver X-factor after getting to a point in the main line X-Men run but dropped it before getting there since I wasn't having fun with that title and wouldn't get back into X-Men until I started reading New Mutants. Because of that I don't know if there are any retcons or reveals past this put what i did read in a new light. I always read Madelyne as a superhero take on abusive relationships. The kind where a partner gets super possessive and tries to isolate the person they're supposed to love and support from their support groups and get really angry when they even talk to other people. My brothers ex-wife was like that and I see a lot of her in Madelyne. The paranoia, emotional manipulation and isolation line up really well. Of course I could be remembering things wrong, Cyclops is my favourite X-Man, and I tend to think of ways to solve a problem as I read it so some of that may have gotten mixed up in my memory. But I didn't read it all that long ago, the internet just kind fo hates Cyclops and tends to oversimplify what happens to him especially if it makes other characters look better, he has a really bad non-comic reputation because of how badly he's been adapted to other media. Issue numbers appreciated if I am going crazy.

@@llydwll lol ok if you think so but I'm also guessing that you're younger than a collector from the 70' and 80s which are the Hey days of the X-Men. Claremont and John were the Team Supreme of the era. DC reaction to that POPULARITY was the creation of The TITANS and using George Perez and superb writing. Top talent in an effort to compete. Now the outback stories were also damn good and Sylvestei as the artist as top of my monthly reads so I understand your comment but nay Chris and John were doing the most wayyy before.

Thank you for a very concise summary of her story,. However, I was never a fan of the multiple retcons of her original Phoenix Saga story. There were so many other characters who could continue the Phoenix legacy like Rachel Grey-Summers or even Hope Summers. Bringing Jean back just to kill her off again and again was a nonsense.

No fair. Jean Grey got 2 videos and RED NORVELL still hasn't gotten 1 yet. That being said this was a wonderful look at the continuing history of Jean. You could easily do many more videos based off of the history of Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force. But if you were to do that this would become a Jean Grey only channel. I'm still asking for that RED NORVELL video to complete the trilogy of humans who have held the power of Thor.. Jane Foster, Eric Masterson and RED NORVELL. As always MAKE MINE THE MERRY MARVELITE!!!!

Watching this I couldn’t help thinking of the amazing possibilities that could have ensued if Dave Cockrum had been able to continue the art on the Phoenix saga he began with Chris Claremont. As good as the story was, the inferior art of the artist that followed him was truly a let down as to what could have been.

hearing this story told with all the retcons included makes me realise that the idea that Jean and Phoenix were two separate entities doesn't actually make sense. Claremont wrote the story about Jean, not some cosmic clone. That's why it's so good. Since Dark Phoenix, plenty of comic characters have done some really heinous acts to be later redeemed. i quite like having Jean trying to be good while having done something unforgivable.
