The "Energy Aura" is hers as well. She had a signature butterfly mind reading thing whenever she used her powers. It's not supposed to go around the waist, but vertically over the forehead/head. But obviously it wouldn't fit the little figures' heads.

I think they forgot that the wings are supposed to be swept forward during the design process because if you swap them then they stay up just fine. You'd think that swapping them wouldn't be a problem but it is. The blade is the focused totality of Psylocke's psychic powers. Her words, not mine. The energy butterfly should've been larger to fit around Ultimate X-Spanse's head. In the comics, that butterfly is shown around Psylocke's head to signify to the readers that she's using her powers. Since they have two tributes to Psylocke with the blade and the butterfly they should've made the blade into something that looked like Gambit's throwing cards. It also would've been cool if the robot mode wings looked something like Archangel's wings. Wrap him up with some of the lightning effect parts from Marvel Legends Thor and Storm figures to give Ultimate X-Spanse some more X-Men powers.

Something that isn't mentioned in the instructions is storage for the two blade effects in robot mode. If you look on the underside of the wings there are two posts that you can use to store the two effect parts which have a small hole in each of them.

The "energy aura" is a tribute to Psyloke, you have to put it on the face on the Bot, like a faceplate (not like a crown) ;)

One way you could fix the wings from being floppy is by putting some floor polish but it has to be the “pledge: revive it brand because it has enamels in it that will thicken up the plastic and help the wings stiffen up

If you read this emgo if you put a tiny bit of superglue on the parts for the wings to clip on to and on the spots on the wings where it connects to the wing connector and let them dry completely they won’t fall off anymore and won’t flap and will be able to stay up without falling

I found the wings upon closer inspection seem to have been warped just slightly bent where they attach. Take them off and put them under a hair dryer one at a time for a good little while. Then make sure they have proper tension inward. Other than that you can use the floor polish trick or Keke fix loose joints and it will work like a charm. I was able to get away without using any polish or Kiki. Simply straightening the wings properly where they attach did the trick for me. They stay nice and firm and whatever position I want them to be in now.

Got mine 2 days ago, a great figure... except for those flimsy, floppy wings. On mine they pop off easily and they only stay up if you angle them 45° upwards in jet mode - which looks bad. On mine even swapping them so they point backwards doesn't help. But as I said, apart from that, awesome figure, nice extras. Looks better in hand than in videos and pictures.

While overall this one has a cool look and concept, what’s really preventing me from getting him is that he’s pretty much a blank slate. Ectotron and Gigawatt got comic crossover material that made these characters with personality and history. X-Panse (and Maverick) conversely don’t have any accompanying story material.

This seems to be a hodgepodge of a bunch of different X-Men characters. Obviously the main source is Cyclops; but you've also got Wolverines claws, Psylockes energy blade thing, the wings probably come from Archangel, the chest armour is likely a reference to Cable (who is Cyclops' son), the pouches/utility belt... well, that could be ANY Mutant created in the 90's, specifically the ones created by Rob "cannot draw to save my life" Liefeld.
