Theres only two on the astroid at least (Storm and Jean) and Jean is classified as an Omega Level Telepath not Telekinetic (this is dumb in my opinion). I honestly think they should've been able to do more but it left a nice entrance for Magneto so 🤷

If they always jumped in the X-Men or rather any Hero wouldn't have any story to go on. Also if you introduce that question then you must also ask where are all the other Villains? By doing so you are ensuring that Old Man Logan is a canon event, and the Heroes always lose eventually since there are more Villains then Heroes. So just enjoy the cameos for what they are cameos, and don't think too deep into it.
