This has more convincingly real dialogue than most movies today

This is such an iconic episode decades ahead of its time--- essentially a transgender robot obsessed with creating offspring ultimately wins robot civil rights.

Wow a story of robots taking over without a sad ending.

Well, debatably. Gordon does sound a trifle depressed in his last line.

I have several original novels and antologies of short stories from back then. Most are damaged just because they are so old. I wish there were a way to restore them...

I wonder why they pronounced Robot differently back then?
@OTRR5 жыл бұрын
One of the fun things about listening to OTR is hearing how language has drifted in just the last 60-70 years or so. Not just the words used, but how they are pronounced. Another example of pronunciation is Los Angeles. Now: Los Anjeles. Then: Los Angeles (hard G) in many cases.

Non-lawyers, even ex-lawyers, are really picky about who can give legal advice. Very surprising to hear that explicitly contradicted here.

What is the name of the actor playing Albert ?

Albert the first Robot principle, First of all principles robots need to rest. They are always working. A tremendous help the first Robot Albert. The Robot cause is just. To achieve the Law in order to reproduce. Winning the right to reproduce is the How-2 principle; to be the not to be creative and in Legal order. The creative living power and influence of the Arts and Sciences. Let us know prayer can help. Even better than prayer ALBERT can help. Brain Storm Brian Albert Koller

Robot ? , Never heard the word until now . Surprising how often speakers pronounce some words "incorrectly" , and often by mistake in most instances . The Home-Handy-man model - no chore to meanial or trivial .

Do you mean "ROH-but" versus "roh-BOT"? Pronunciation shifts over time, particularly with newer words. Another good example of a shift is the pronunciation of "Los Angeles". Now, you only ever hear "Los An-jel-es" (soft g), but if you listen to our older series from the 30s and 40s, you will sometimes hear "Log An-gel-es" (hard g). If I remember correctly, the series "Romance of the Ranchos" has several examples of that.

Albert has principle, he will create legal talent. Just cause is what we all need to achieve the law. Albert makes Robots. Albert's robots are his children. Albert has just cause. Wining the right to reproduce by Albert the FIRST ROBOT. The first Robot was both male and female. The only decision is to let, [Albert the first robot] THINK FOR ALBERT. I claim the same right. I must think for myself for you Robots have reproduced my own thinking for a total of Sixty-five years. Go ahead robot, MAKE MY DAY. Oh so sad day of days! Merry X-mass and a Happy New Year in the year 2020, Brian, Brain Storm Koller Thinking for me too.
