Fun topic. I thought you were going to suggest different nibs for different MBTI personality types…. I think I took that in high school but don’t recall the results. Even in America, I think Fountain Pen shows attract more introverts. Drew Brown on the Goulet Podcast used to encourage people to take breaks since attending an event can cause some social anxiety. That said I wonder if Japanese socialize so much at pen shows. I’ve only attended the Tokyo Pen Trading (Wagner) summer events, but didn’t see so many people going to grab a beer or tea and socialize during or after the event. Akemashita Omedettou Goziamasu.

Japanese people are introverted by nature, but deep down they want to interact with others. It takes time to become friends, but once you do, you become close.
