@ Obviously 加拿大嘅法定語言係英文及法文。I was just being sarcastic when I wrote “加拿大嘅國語係英文定中文”. My sentence was targeting those Chinese who live in Canada and who’ve become naturalized Canadians. It’s incorrect for them to refer Chinese as their 國語。As a naturalized Canadian, English or French is the 國語。

@@lwkbilly If your 「中文」refers to Mandarin, it was meant 「國語」before Chinese People's Republic of China. Nowadays Mandarin has been called 「普通話」，but many places still prefer to say it as「國語」
