The only problem with the Helicopter is the unrealistic VEMD operation. If you don't start the GPS, the VEMD is unable to get Time and Date, for that reason, when you start the MASTER (BATT), on the VEMD you can read in Yellow "VEH PARAM" until you switch on the GPS and you press ENTER 2 times to enter the satellite receiving mode. Only once the time is received by the VEMD the Yellow mark get out. On this add-on that behavior is missing ;)

Hello, sorry for bother you. I used to fly in this helicopter 15 years ago, but as a rescue crew, not pilot. Noe deu to my job I have some free time. Do you know which simulator can I find today in the market ? I searched FSX but couldn't find anything...

Hi! it's no bother at all. :) For helicopters, I would recommend X-Plane 11, which is the simulator I used for this video. I don't know of any other simulator that has the AS350 available. Remember that this is an add-on helicopter and is not included in X-Plane when you buy it. You can get this helicopter at dreamfoil-creations.com

Darren Berkey Hi Darren !!! After some issues I finally couls download and install it via Steam (X-Plane service told me to do this way). Now I see I need pedals and joystick... Is possible to have only joystick and the pedals use buttons ?

Hi Darren Berkey what a nice video you have great control on helicopter really amazing. Do you by any chance fly EC135 Eurocopter on X-plane as well there's some information I want to ask regards control setup?

+ldee247 Sorry, but I don't have the EC135 Eurocopter for X-Plane. I tried one before, a free download, but I didn't think it was made very well, so I removed it. Do you know of a high quality EC135 for X-Plane? I don't use X-Plane as much as I used to, but I'm always keeping an eye open for good quality helicopters for it. :) Thanks for watching!

+Darren Berkey Ahaaa that explains something I've been struggling to get stability with Eurocopter Ec 135 all along thinking it was to do with my PC system or Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog controls. I've tried everything according to their Ec135 manual setup and configurations but still the problems remained the same. The FTR Force Trim Release doesn't work as it is supposed,it keeps the heli pitching up and down I don't know how the guys with videos on Ec135 how they managed to keep it control and stable. Ive tried the AS350B and it handles perfect with no issues at all, so not sure why the Ec135 wouldn't handle the same with same controller. Regards your question on any high quality heli on Ec135 X-plane I haven't actually come across any other apart from the one I downloaded from rotorsim.de which has been giving me issues. I might buy the bell 407 I've heard lots good about it. Anyway thanks for the feedback really appreciate and please do continue to do more videos. Cheers...:)

+ldee247 Hmm, yeah, I really can't say for sure what the issue might be. Wish I could offer some advice on the EC135. I love the Bell 407 by Dreamfoil Creations, which I have a video of (although you may have seen it already). The AS350 B3 used to be my favorite, but now I fly the 407 almost exclusively. It really is probably the best helicopter available for X-Plane in terms of features, build quality, and realism.

Hi Darren, great control. What controlsettings do you use in x-plane to fly the helicopter? I have tried several settings, and both default helicopters and I also bought the S92. The latter is much more stable, but still I keep losing control!. I have many years of sim experiance, and flying with planes goes very well. But helicopterflying has not been succesful, not in FS nor in X-plane 10. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks, Marc! Well, here are the settings I use in the "Nullzone" tab within X-Plane's joystick options... Pitch Stability : 10% Pitch Control Response : 100% Roll Stability : 10% Roll Control Response : 100% Yaw Stability : 0% Yaw Control Response : 40% Nullzone : 0% It helps if you have rudder pedals (I'm sure you probably do) and a quality joystick. I have a Thrustmaster T16000M with H.E.A.R.T technology that uses a magnetic sensor rather than potentiometers. Incredibly accurate! The throttle slider is not perfect for collective, but it works well enough. (I actually use a third controller for collective input.) Keep in mind that it only takes very small movements of the cyclic stick to keep a helicopter in control. I hope this information is useful, and thanks for watching!

To the best of my knowledge, X-Plane 10 does not have any official Vive support. I use TrackIR, which is a great tool for use with X-Plane, but it's not the same as an actual VR headset. I've read that there are a couple of addons (hacks, really) that force XP 10 to work with Vive, but it's problematic. X-Plane 11 is out in beta now, so maybe it will have official support for Vive and Oculus, but I honestly don't know for sure.

i ust purchased this helicopter to my x-plane 10.51 first no rotor anims no mowing yoke in the cocpitt the pedals Works the colective Works it flyes but frozen rotors it looks stupide uinstalling is NeXT on my mind or cane some one help is there Upgrade or serivice packs

Hmm, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the helicopter. I haven't flown it in X-Plane for a while now and I'm not even sure which version I have, so I can't say for sure if it is an incompatibility with version 10.51 or not. Your best option is to contact Dreamfoil Creations to see if they have any suggestions for you to fix it.

Thank you for your reply I forgot to mention my norton internet securety is finding ws repetuation and alerts me and deleting the corrupted file IN THE AS350 extracted files perhaps that is the problem is ws repetuation VIRUS

Oh, you mean when viewing from inside the cockpit? It's a bug... something about the way they texture the ground is less than perfect. Yes, it's somewhat annoying, but you tend to get used to it. I don't notice it all that much any more because it really only happens when the aircraft is sitting on the ground. If I hover above it, I don't see it... or at least it's not very noticeable if it is doing it. Still, I do wish they would fix it.

xXWhateverxX4kHD You're welcome! However, just to clarify, this helicopter is not included with X-Plane when you buy it. This is a 3rd party add-on aircraft from Dreamfoil Creations. It is indeed an excellent build, but I actually enjoy thier Bell 407 just a little more, of which I also have a video. :)

Yup, would be surprising if that is a standard model. I assume though, that the helicopter physics modeling is just more comprehensive than FSX's, enabeling developers to release such a product. FSX doesn't have a single high standard rotorcraft. Anyhow, I'm gonna have to look at your Bell video. ;)

What's your joystick? It seems REEEALLY precise :D

I use a Thrustmaster T16000M joystick, which uses "hall effect" magnetic sensors instead of traditional mechanical pots. And yes, it is VERY precise, and I highly recommend it for that reason.
