I don't know how different the updated version is, but it should be fairly close. Hopefully the descents are a bit more accurate.

I just bought several days ago this bird. watching your 4 tutorials I didn't catch when you change from FMS to ILS to make sure that the plane doesn't loose the track of the flightplan and to make a ILS approach on the correct RWY. saluti marco

You would follow the arrival and then the approach chart. You're then on the correct heading and altitude for the localiser and to meet the glideslope. You can then switch to ILS. The most important point is that you've switched to ILS before meeting the glideslope.

Will this plane automatically perform VNAV as per the flight plan? I'm not sure whether my plane will automatically descend or not here.

VNAV doesn't work with this version of the aircraft.

How come on replay of landings for me and seems like most others, there is no smoke puff? Do you know a fix because the smoke puff makes it realistic

I don't think the particle system is working properly at this time. The smoke from the tyres seems overdone, so it might need further improvements from Laminar. The lack of smoke during touchdown may be a replay issue.

I have not tried that. I would assume the default FMS would support it, though.

Yes supanova the fmc seems ok but the PFD doesn't show loc or gs and no activation. I'm not sure if it's simulated. Can't see anything in the manual.

I'm not familiar with RNAV approaches, but without VNAV I don't think this will work. There are four VNAV modes along with the three LNAV modes in the actual aircraft. I would hope we'll get VNAV with V2 of the aircraft.
