eventually, but p3d is updating itself as well. pbr is coming soon and that will be interesting to see. after that all they would need is the dynamic night lighting, but from what i've seen it causes massive fps drops so we may never see it implemented at all unless it ditches its fsx cores. also the flight models are terrible, but some seem to prefer it

No it's not. Except good graphics entire simulation is a shit. Planes behave like a toys in the air. I've tried to fly with B747. Compared to FSX it felt like it was a hang glider, not a massive and almost fully loaded (just below MLW) airplane. I hope physics will be corrected and XPLANE will be a proper successor of FSX and P3D.

Physics in Xplane are actually far superior, you should probably do some research before commenting. What you are talking about is input response being too high, something that a lot of 3rd party xplane developers rectify in their aircraft. What you flew was the default 747 which hasn't been updated in years; try flying the 737 (especially ZIBO). Xplane has better native graphics, better flight model and aircraft physics, better free scenery options, better performance, better UI and more. The only thing Xplane lacks in comparison to the ESP platform is 3rd party developers, which is increasing either way.

I'd be happy to this sim at 1080p, locked to 30 or even 50fps. 60+fps seems to feel a little artificial, visually, for me. I think it's called the 'soap-opera effect.' Either way, I just love XPlane 11's flight mechanics and would fully recommend this for private pilots to keep their knowledge and skills fresh when the weather ain't so great outside.

Ok while I am a Boeing guy, I’ve gotta give airbus some credit. Their a350 is BEAUTIFUL. That aircraft of their is so sleek and beautiful both outside and in. The cockpit is modeled to perfection and the outside looks spectacular. Well done airbus. While I’m still a Boeing guy and think Boeing is better I gotta say you guys are amazing.

Very impressive the 1080ti. I have a pretty similar specs on my pc but I can reach only 4.6 GHz on my 4790k with the Intel overclock program (using basic mode). How do you do or what program do you use to overclock the CPU?? Each time I try to get more than 4.6 my pc just restarts... It's important because flight sims are very CPU demanding 😟

Graphics are nice but not so important that you end up with an arcade product like MSFS. I find X-Plane 11 with Orbx graphics highly satisfying. It's a shame Orbx hasn't extended it's coverage further to date. Quite how they make such magnificent, non-plastic looking scenery with low frame rate impact is a marvel.

how do you stop the 737-800 from bobbing up and down after its reached cruise level exactly? I would move to this sim almost immediately but the thing thats causing me problems, is why this is happening in the first place, ive never had this issue with p3dv4, i am a relatively experienced sim pilot. vs is generally low (300fpm) near to cruise level, my maximum speed is usually around 280 knots, and as far as i can tell i have reduced the ridiculous turbulance i think, and i have tried to make it so when i crash i dont have to reset everything all over again wasting pointless hours getting nowhere. at least i hope i have! so why is it bobbing as soon as it reached cruise level?
