That's amazing! I haven't been on a flight sim since I was a teenager playing FS '04! All those add-ons cost a fortune! Now i'm going to uni to do aerospace engineering, it's a good excuse to get back into it... glad I wont be parting with hundreds for add-ons again.. if any people ask, if they should go with p3d or xplane, one should show them this video, because its the answer. But most of people doesnt matter about the flight realism itself, everyone want to have the better graphics and addons, and yes in that case p3d is the winner, but in a few years, it will look completly different, more and more people fly with XP11. The flight feeling and realism is much better in XP, its no flying on rails like p3d. The first landing try at xp in this video was still amazing. A few years ago, I could make a cockpit fly at the jumpseat in an Embrear 180, and for the landing in Vienna, we had about 40-60kts crosswind (storm warning all over Austria), it was horrible how much input the pilot had to made, that he could fly and didnt lose the control of the plane. And what happened at your XP landing, was still the same, this is how an airplane reacts when you have a lot of wind :) ps: sorry for not perfect english, I'm from Austria :) 1

Frostbite woudnt work for a flight sim, not as is anyways, there's nothing in frostbite that isnt in Xplane that I would pick to improve xplane graphically. What xplane needs to look even better is proper volumetric clouds, better terrain texturing and dynamic terrain textures(e.g snow on ground when snowing, wet when raining etc), frostbite doesnt have any of that cause it ain't built for representing the entire planet and its skies but small(comparatively) fps maps or football stadiums

Yes but there isnt much graphically that frostbite has that xplane doesn't that would greatly improve how xplane looks. They are both very similar tech wise, the tech that frostbite has that xplane doesnt would'nt help xplane look any better due to what the goal of the program is.

4.8GHz - That has to be overclocked because I've never seen any CPU with a Base clock speed of 4.8GHz 😅 And the GTX 1080 Ti is also really good GPU, U got like 8GB GDDR5 VRAM I think, Your CPU and GPU are on 100% probably, How much RAM do u have? 16GB DDR4 - Because that would be recommended for max settings. I have a newly built Asus ROG computer with an i9 9900K 3.6 GHZ that's overclocked to about 4.9 GHZ and liquid cooled, with 64 GB DDR4 memory. Right now I'm using a Giga-Byte GTX 1060 graphics card with 6 GB of VRAM and it's overclocked. With this setup, and most of XP 11's graphics settings at high/max, I was getting between 30 to 50 FPS. With XP 11.50 Vulkan enhancements, that increased by about 10-15 FPS. I'll be replacing the graphics card with a GeForce GTX 1080 ti, which has 11 GB of VRAM along with overclocking capability, I should expect a gain of about another 10-20 FPS.

Nice graphics, but that takeoff was dangerous. First of all, you NEVER exceed 20 degree pitch. Second of all, you don't just place your thrusters all the way up during takeoff; that's dangerous for the engine. You're supposed to stabilize thrust at 40% N1 then hit TO/GA which will limit engine performance around certain constraints, such as cooling.

I have a question. I have an ACER 34" wide screen XR342CK (3440 x 1440) monitor and it has Freesync and with my current Radeon R9-390 video card I get 75Hz frame rate, but if I use it with another monitor that does not support Freesync, I will only get 60 Hertz frame rate. I am thinking about getting Inno3D Geforce RTX 2070 Twin X2 video card. I can get one at a good price. It runs cooler and later technology that Radeon Vega that is only 5% cheaper. This will clearly be a much more powerful card, but Inno3D does not seem to be one of the major brands like Asus or GigaByte etc. But the frame rate will now be 60 Hertz and I will not have Freesync to stop the tearing etc that it supposedly fixes. I am not a major gamer, this is mostly for getting best performance for X-Plane 11 and turn up the settings for more realism. Is 60 Hertz and no Freesync, is that going to be a problem? .

SFO never lands on the 01 runways. They take off on the 1s and land on the 28s. Occasionally they will take off on the 10s but never land on anything except the 28s. In terms of eye candy tho, i really wish my computer could do that.
