Q8Pilot, Thank you for taking another look at this plane. I know your initial experience wasn't ideal but I'm glad to see that it got worked out so that you could enjoy this piece of art in the same manner as countless of us other flight-simmers have been doing since its release. Keeping an open mind is rather difficult in this day and age... I'm glad to see that the initial trial didn't spoil it for you. Keep up the good work!

Glad to see you're up and running and having fun with the aircraft. That's all we're really trying to do - put smiles on the faces of our users. Minor tip for your future TBM flights: she likes to go fast. Feel free to go 100% TRQ in the cruise. Oh and give the synthetic vision on the PFD a try - makes flying approaches "easy mode".

"No Wind Data" -> For the GPS to estimate wind data you have to be moving. It interprets wind based on TAS and heading vs ground speed and ground track I believe. Also on the shutdown make sure you do the low idle cool down period before cut off, it'll help preserve that engine. :)

But i steer clear of the eye candy and i don't need to mention who they are as some people like that brand and good for them. On this aircraft i fly it in VR and its very impressive. You have o fly the numbers climbs and descents or thing break i have wrecked one engine trim tabs and other stuff so the was 250 Grand of play money. with the take off and landing its a handful but it can be done. it will make us better pilots and i am sure we will get a patch. Hi Osama, Respect. I've been following your vlogs for a couple of months now and I have come to the conclusion that you give an honest review, whatever the aircraft, which I value and use to form a view on future purchases. I noticed in the video that you had a bit of a problem with the rudder control on landing. I also have the same problem in Xplane with the rudder control being far too sensitive. Of course I have tried to adjust the sensitivity, but I just can't get the length of pedal travel right. Anyway, I will be buying the TBM 900 tomorrow, it just seems to be the aircraft that I've been waiting for. Thanks again for your videos.

I bought this plane a couple of weeks ago and it is amazing. I bought the Ceranado TBM-850 but was disappointed that the G1000 was not up to the level as the TBM-900. The one thing I struggle with is the higher speed on landing as compared to the C172 Skyhawk. More times than not I tend to bounce the nose gear. I believe it is more related to the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke I have. Any suggestions on the best equipment?

Osamah, does the instrument panel light up more, illuminating button labels, etc? If so, it would be helpful to make them much brighter for these videos (even if you wouldn't normally in these flying conditions) because otherwise, esp. with black paneling, they are next to impossible to read in the video. Don't know about anyone else, but being able to see what all the buttons and knobs are would certainly make the videos more interesting to me. @olasek79726 жыл бұрын
Billy Bob it looks like the LOC frequency was loaded when he selected this approach while still on the ground. Then he only had to switch CDI (press CDI button) from magenta GPS to NAV to fly the approach on raw signal. At some point he is telling us the approach has been activated but there is no indication he ever pressed APR, all of a sudden the upper part of PFD is blank, shows no mods. I think he isn’t showing everything. I am yet to see a complete IFR precision approach with this aircraft, complete, haven’t seen one yet.

I have a dissenting view. This product remains a beta product . For evidence go to the x-pilot forums . There remains a disturbing number of CTD . They may be remedied in the future , but to those offering their log.txt as a diagnostic tool there is often no reply from the devs . This includes no acknowledgement there is a problem . Endorsing this software is premature . It may be fixed in the future ,but ,at the moment , one can not be entirely confident one will reach destination after take off. I encourage you to visit the x-pilot support forums and read through the CTD reports .

@Craig Hardy An FYI. It was Totoritko that wrote the manual. And if anyone is stupid enough to assume they can fly a real TBM after flying this sim version, yes, they are an idiot.
@leadingedgesimulations76956 жыл бұрын
@Craig Hardy Be respectful to Cameron, and he'll treat you with equal respect. Demand something from Cameron, and you won't get very far. Respect goes both ways. Totoritko is one of the nicest, generous (he has donated source code to other developers and made freeware for everyone to use) and most genuine people I have ever known and worked with. How many developers do you know have started a discord channel to personally help their customers with "on call" customer service? It was a tongue in cheek comment in a manual aimed at people who think they can fly a $4 million aircraft after flying the sim version. I'm fairly certain there are no idiots in the community who think they can do that. We're here to help, Craig. I've seen your posts at x-plane.org and X-Pilot. There's only so much we can do. And when you cross that line of jumping up and down and screaming at us for not hearing the answer you want to hear, it doesn't help.
@leadingedgesimulations76956 жыл бұрын
@Craig Hardy If you're going to post all this in public, then you need to post the entire truth. From what I recall in the forums, Cameron told you all questions, with exceptions to activation, regarding the TBM were to be posted in the forums, where Toto and I can see them all, and address them. Activation and store questions were going to be handled on the X-Aviation website support channel. When Cameron told you this, all YOU had to do was say, "Ok, thanks" and that would have been the end of it. Cameron is not an expert in TBM/multi monitor issues. Toto is. Why would you be insistent on Cameron helping you with something he can't help you with? He pointed you in the right direction, and you became "annoyed" at that. I don't know what else you think can be gained by persisting in getting a response from him. He gave you customer service and helped you as best as he could. He didn't make the TBM. If he gave you the response you quoted, it would have been a guess on his part. Cameron gets up to 400 support tickets a day, and he simply doesn't have time to type out responses like the one you were expecting. For the record, Cameron, or anyone at XA doesn't know you from a bar of soap. Contrary to your opinion, making you feel like an idiot was not his focus at all. His focus was to get you to use the proper channels, and ask directly in the forums. You paid for a product, you asked for support. You were redirected to the appropriate, more effective channel (forum), and you refused it. Past this point, I really don't know what you expect him to do. Now, the "Cameron has called other customers comments stupid" point you make. You obviously haven't seen some of them. I've seen someone come into the forums and ask for a free download of a payware A380 because he couldn't afford it. Stupid comment? You betcha. I've seen many more that I don't really care to get into on this platform. "I've read comments written a year ago or so of people saying they will not buy from X-Aviation because of Cameron. Just google "Cameron from X-Aviation" any you'll find some as well. In this very thread the following comment was made: "The cooler heads at X-Aviation (if there are any) should keep Cameron away from the forums!" And, you feel there's no problem?" The vast majority of these people were people caught sharing XA add ons. There is evidence of this. Cameron always gives them a chance at redemption by purchasing the add on. Many take this up. The ones that don't have nothing to lose, and go on an anti XA crusade. Claiming no support. Getting ignored. Of course they get ignored and get no support. They were caught STEALING. An X-Plane 3rd party PAYWARE developer was caught sharing my Saab 340. TWICE! And even admitted it to me. Lastly, when a customer has a particular problem, that is isolated to THAT customer, who represents 0.1% of TBM customers, it's a safe bet that something is wrong on the customers end. In those cases, it's nearly impossible to determine the problem, and we simply tell them it is definitely something on their end. Final word...I don't want to clutter up the comments on Osama's youtube channel. I only responded to you here because your comments needed addressing after they were quite defamatory. Anything further, I will be happy to address in private.
