It's not the rockabilly that the radio and record industry flushed out of America in 1959, but it is the imagery of death worship that was associated with it. To my ears, it sounds more like the Pat Boone, Frankie Avalon era pop material that replaced rockabilly. But my ears are probably biased. I did see a hollowbody guitar, which is a good sign.

We're still giving this a thumbs up.. you need to hear the track in the context of the whole album.. It is very much the "pop" song of the album ....

@propertvofthelost2617 I'm thinking maybe the death imagery of 50s rock was 75% the reaction to impending threat of a nuclear holocaust, 12% "I dare you" culture, 12% Hollywood horror film rage, and only 1% Anton Lavey demonology. But what came out of England a few years later turned into 99% demonology, mysticism, and Satan worship. Inject that 99% with steroids and 21st-century technology, and you get the possible future of a morally lost world until it's demise. I'm hoping the video's imagery is more toward the reactionary 50s era than the current political assault on what's left of traditional American values.
