Will ASOBO add the MCDU and other FMS rotary knobs to the button assignments eventually ? DOes A&O handle these types of things ? Dying to assign those finicky dual knobs on the G1000 and RANGE knobs etc to my button box rotary knobs. Thanks f or the hard work. I have done in XPLANE ! what a boone.

AAO does handle the rotary and mcdu through scripts that in turn refer to MSFS events. AAO just takes the pain out if the interface into those events and take the need to write complex code

When I reached the step where you selected "Gauges | Desktop FIPs", there was no drop-down menu. So I'm stuck!

Did not work for me. Followed your guide to the letter. I got the desktop FIP (the web one was all squashed) on display and the labels were present but, touching the midi controller did nothing. Pressing the buttons on the FIP version of X-Touch with a mouse, executed the command well enough but, actual midi key presses are being ignored. AAO runs as admin. Midi in out (1+3) showing in AAO too. Any ideas??

Exactly the same problem here. I wish someone would explain that. I am near to return my unit. I don't need x-touch on my screen either. And it is far from easy to program that stuff either. It is not userfriendly for beginners at all. Well, hopefully someone explains how to get x-touch working.

@@b.v.m.5409 I did get help from the original dev over in discord to get it functioning but, in the end I purchased spad next to use with the x-touch. It's far simpler to get working with the sim that way.

@@scottishrebels Thank you for your response. I hate discord and always tried to avoid it, as it looks like made for children in kindergarden age rather than for adults. Cartoons everywhere... Well, maybe there is also a way to change that somewhere; just I couldn't find how... But in my desperation I wrote there a message to (hopefully) get help. I already spend so much time watching those videos and now after spending money on AaOhs and hardware the result is that the whole thing doesn't work. Very frustrating! As it seems that many struggle with configuartion issues and the like, it really would be helpful to also do a video that helps clarifying those problems. I maybe will give spadnext a try. Thanks again!

I found that it wouldn't work after I installed FSUIPC, which I had done for LukeAirTool. After I uninstalled FSUIPC and restarted the sim, my XTouch worked fine again. Also make sure "Midi device enabled" is checked on the Hardware menu.

@@rogerparadise I did get help in the discord and got mine working but, ultimately the process with spadnext and the mini is far simpler to work with so I have gone with that.

I have been trying for a while to get this to work and I made a little progress. The buttons work when I use the desktop fip but do not work in the sim. Anyone have a suggestion on what to look at? Thanks for the great tutorials!

Great video! I have a problem with setting up my X Touch. It recognizes the XTouch as "MIDI IN: 1", not as XTouch Mini as in your video. MSFS abd AAO do not respond to any inputs on the xtouch. Can you help me out?

Hi, Thanks for these videos. I've just ordered the X Touch mini :-) I'm a user of both XP11 (Now 12 too) and MSFS. Will set up for MSFS first. I assume Axis and ohm is for MSFS only? Will SPADneXT work for the X Touch mini or AAO much better? Any suggestions on using the X Touch with Xplane? Thanks

My copy of SpadNext is now quite old, I stopped using it when I switched to MSFS as the additional license from XPlane was more expensive an AAO. I dont know if Spad supports Midi yet, but I'm afraid AAO is just MS based so FSX,P3d and 2020

You say there will be one pop-up after pressing import. You hit save once but I have to hit save about 40 time then get another pop-up I hit save on that and it says import complete. Then when I try to name a group, AAO crashes. Where have I gone wrong

I think this is because the you x touch is on the wrong channel may be. In AAO go to show midi devices. Hopefully you'll see mini in ID1 x-touch and midi out id3 x touch. Can you confirm

@@FlightSimandOtherStuff I didn't have midi device enabled. It's now showing correct I'd in AAO But my xtouch still doesn't communicate with my PC. The FIPs or the aircraft does nothing when xtouch controls are used.

I've followed all of the steps here plus manual and can't get xtouch to communicate with AxisandOhs. Would appreciate things to check. I put the desktop gauge on screen and get no indication of communication as pushing a button doesn't light up button, slider doesn't move gauge slider and it doesn't move anything in acft.

A couple of things to look at. ! are you running AAO as administrator, is the mdid devices option ticked under hardware, try hardware change option and rescan. Is the xtouch showing in there Midi in[1] and Midi out[3]

@@FlightSimandOtherStuff Started working today. The only thing that doesn't work is CDI. Pushing the top left button lights up the top left button on the desktop gauge but it doesn't change from GPS to VLOC

I think it would help to clearly distinguish this series as focused on VR users. It’s actually not very helpful at all for regular sim users… we don’t need a pop up window of the mini in the sim. :) Your previous lesson version on how to setup the mini was far more straightforward for non-VR users… Using the Guisnelli (sp?) scripts.

Everything ion your video works except aircraft automated script s It will not allow me to select ONE SHOT or BEGINNING this is the only part that will not operate and hence I have no button allocations showing on my FIP either desktop or VR
