ディーゼルの場合は燃料ポンプの役割をしていないのですが、ガソリンエンジンを仮定して話しました。 海外では自分の車両は自分で整備する人が多いので、少しでも助けになればと思い、答えられそうな質問には回答しています。

Exactly what I need! I am going to replace the washer pump and fuel pump for my gasoline T31. The challenge is to loose the fuel pump lock ring. I dont have the tool either, but I prefer using a wedge rather than hands. LOL.

The engine is different, but you should be able to replace it if you do the same. I hope the video will be helpful

Since the engine model is different, the shape of the fuel pump is different. The exchange method is the same, so please do your best

great video!, one question, my fuel tank buoy is broken so the fuel capacity indicator not show correctly, can i just replace the buoy instead of replacing the whole fuel pump? thx. mine: t31 gasoline 2010

Hello friend, I have the exact same issue with my T31. So, I asked about it in the Greek dealership (I'm Greek) and they told me the T31 tank has two buoy devices, one attached on the fuel pump on the one side and another one on the other side of the tank, apparently one of the two is faulty from the years of use and it's a typical error which happens, they also assured me 99% of the cases only one of the two goes faulty. The day I had my appointment the car electrician was on leave but they told me he needs to test the pumps on their multimeter to see which one is the broken one and then replace it, alongside with the plastic gasket seal. From that point on, you can use sites like partsouq.com/ to find the OEM part number via the VIN and replace it yourself if you feel like it. Hope I helped you

If the fuel level is not displayed correctly, one or both gauges on the left and right may be in error. Move each gauge with low fuel and see if the fuel display increases. It is an error if the remaining fuel does not increase even if you move it.

The person who asked the question seems to be in a gasoline car. The pump seems to have broken. The right side is the pump and the left side is the fuel level gauge. It does not need to be replaced unless it breaks.

If the fuel level is not accurate, it is better to manually move each gauge to check.

Nice video, but the information there, about the fuel pump, is wrong. There is no fuel(lift) pump in the thanks on the T31 x-trails. The fuel is sucked by vacuum from the main pump at the engine. The wires are fot the 2 fuel level units and the hose in the tank is to suck fuel from the left side, like pressure washers suck cleanig/foaming agent from a separate container.. The fuel tank has a shape like riding horse bags beacuse it is on top of the rear differential. The T30 2003-2007 diesels had an extrernal fuel tranfer pumps that rusted a lot, did not work and leaked. Had ti replace 3 pumps on my old 2005 T30 x-trail. Now, on the T31, it works better. Like I said, there is only a fuel sender unit in the right side of the tank. The fuel return line goes at the side of the sending unit and goes to the very bottom, then the returned fuel raises the fuel level inside of the unit to ensure that when the fuel level is low, the main fuel pump does not suck air on bumpy roads. At 4:50 you can see that there is no pump inside the fuel sender unit. I have taken this apart few times, when I installed the Webasto/Eberspächer heater fuel supply line in to the unit.

Certainly my vehicle is a diesel vehicle, so what's inside the fuel tank doesn't act as a fuel pump. The fuel is evacuated by the supply pump in the engine. I also know that there is a manual pump for bleeding air near the fuel element. The subtitles may have been a little wrong.

Where was your axial stand brother? I would have liked to have seen you at least put the tire under the vechical for saftey. When I had my sensor replaced at the mechanics his special tool for removing the black ring was a screw driver & hammer. 😂

This time it's a simple video so I jacked it up, but it didn't support the vehicle Did the mechanic hit the driver with a hammer to remove the black ring? If you do that, the ring may break.

Seems that you have opened easily but in reality it is not that easy in opening, extra effort is needed as it is too much tighten.

This black lid may not come loose easily. In such a case, wear rubber gloves.

How can you know if the fuel pump is broken or bad?

If this pump is broken, the engine will not start. If you have a gasoline car, you will hear an operating sound when you turn the key to Acc. If you can't hear it, it's malfunctioning.
