I'm so glad I went with the FT version of this character, I'm almost sure I would've thrown this figure against a wall. This is an absolute disaster build and engineering wise, it made me cancel all my X-Transbots preorders and I wont buy another one of their figures at least not until I watch a review first. Almost every bad MP TF action figure is good when compared to this one, this should have been a plain old action figure without the ability to transform, maybe then it would've been an OK figure. Thanks for the review Mr. Skullface. P.S. I want to add that I normally love the look on the XTB TF action figures but I'm afraid to touch them at this point.

Man… I WANT to love this figure. It LOOKS so friggin cool. I’m a sucker for movie bots and their weird designs. Kup especially. And I’m kinda in awe of the complexity. But this also looks like a case study in the theory that it’s more impressive to make something simple instead of making something complex.

I like many others were hoping this would be a true masterpiece especially with missing out on FT then FT drops again so I grabbed it and wow dodged a bullet on that, same happened with Springer, so I also canceled that XTB preorder. Looks great though.

Yeah Koot had some problems but that is a solid figure. I really like Kup and for me that one is really good in both modes. This one, X-transbots with lemon again doesn't really surprise me.

I gotta say man, you were much kinder to this than I was expecting. But that may be my personal bias. My copy was scratched, had paint blemishes (including a finger print), screw marks, the knees were damn near frozen and he couldn't hold himself together. Glad you got a good copy ;-)

As somebody who's had Koot for a long time and has not bought any 3rd party since they're impossible to get without paying a premium for shipping during the pandemic. Glad I bought Koot when it first came out.

I am really hoping they fix these problems on the updated version. I really do like XTB and I love how they communicate with the community. The sculpts and paint are fantastic but these last 3 have been transformation nightmares. 3 being the trailer, Fuzz and Locke. I'm looking forward to part 2 video. Thanks Bobby.

I own this figure. It's a total mess. This was the beginning of my displeasure in X-transbots. Dr Egg continued that trend. Very unfortunate. I can't even pose it in robot mode w/o the legs falling apart. I will never even attempt to transform it.

Watching Bobby's & others reviews on XTBs Locke (KUP) leaves me with a faint sickly, queasy feeling b/c I have ordered XTBs - Bond & James (Punch-CounterPunch), Fast & Fury (RunAmok/About) ..... plus the Defensor/ProtectoBots & then there is KFCs reissue/new IronPaw & RhinoHorn. The Community DEFINITELY needs XTB to pick up their game & stay in the Fight. They have some GREAT Ideas, Awesome Characters & willing to take a chance, it's their QC that will be their Death Knell. I have HOPE for them, but I am also a sucker..... Fool me once... Shame on you....... Fool me twice.........

From what I’ve heard XTB said Punch/Counterpunch and Runabout/Runamuck will have transformations on par with their Skids, which is about as complex as Takara MP Prowl so I would say if that’s true then that’s a very good sign.

TFSource just dropped the price down to $70 for the version 2. I got it since I don’t have the fans toys. But still not sure after watching a few reviews. I remember saying hard pass when it was released but at that price was like screw it. Maybe I will just never transform it. That sucks cause I like to transform my figures multiple times.

This is one of those things you get depressed about. XTB's bots look awesome, but jesus do they drop the ball on a lot of the stuff. The fiddly as **** fingers in their original hands, complicated transformations (*cough*windcharger's legs*cough*), finicky tolerances...

My relationship with XTB/KFC is akin to that of an abused spouse. I get a Transistor and its all candy & flowers but then I get a black eye with Apollyon who falls apart if you look at him funny. Then I hear around town that my ex is getting better, really improving themselves! Against my better judgement, I give them another chance. Klaatu is great, brings back all those first date memories and I'm swooning! Then....BAM! Eat a Boost and an Ollie! Now I'm wearing oversized sunglasses for a couple more weeks. They've lost my trust at this point and as someone who likes to pre-order and prefers a secure order over the best price, Keith will never get another pre-order from me. They have moments of brilliance but taken as whole, they're in the red.

I’m afraid the quality of the figure is actually secondary to how XTB handled the situation. They blamed someone else, said they were going to fix the broken ones, and make sure the rest were right before release. To my knowledge, neither has happened. It’s almost like their like they’re trying to hold him back until they release a couple of popular figures in hopes that those who bought this guy would move on and forget. Whatever the case, certainly a shitty move on their part that won’t be soon forgotten.

I guess I'm an apologist since I know it was made under contract from XTB, meaning another firm designed and built these. Yes, XTB had to OK everything but it is simple enough for the company to show good product while they are actually sending out crap. this is the same company that were sending out Dead End's that they had built without XTB's approval. It's a big frigging mess, XTB screwed up, but they weren't the only ones in this clusterfuck.

Is this the first release or the second release of the figure because I know that the first release was a complete sloppy mess. So I'm wondering which version this is because I was disappointed with the ones I got because of poor quality control. Don't think it was the design, just poor manufacturing.

XTB.. leave it in Bot mode and dont mess with it and it looks great displayed. I dont transform my bots. So bad engineering isnt as important to me as shelf display and presence. If i wanna transform and play around with transformers..i have some legends scale laying around i mess with here n there. MASTERPIECES are for displaying not manipulating in my house.. all that said... XTB get it together baby.. not all collectors are like me
