The silver pieces on the feet are definitely for alt mode. The idea is that you can put an Autobot insignia over the silver pieces for alt mode, then flip them to hide the broken-up insignia on the feed in robot mode.

Thanks for the look Ben! The only thing that keeps me from getting this is really the color. The promotional images have him a lighter shade of green. I'll probably wait for the production figure to come out and pictures to show up to decide cause as he is in your video, i just think he's too dark. X-Transbots usually worries me with their quality but i just like the look too much so even if the quality isn't good, i'll just not touch him and he'll look great in my MP display.

Quality is up there with some of the best they have done. But as for colour, I would say it was a lotus green or bottle green so it is quite dark for sure.

Hey Ben. The grey spot on the feet is only in Ault mode. Bot mode is all green feet.

That's funny because when I got home from work today my late night impulse buy Toy World Clear Cosmos was sitting on my door step. Love how pudgy Toy World is, looks more like a Mega Man character...but hooray buyer's remorse!

Hi, I have a question about the thin plastic yellow hinge used for the arm transformation at 7:03 of this vid. Would you say that this hinge piece could potentially fail? It looks very fragile and not well thought out, and is why I'm hesitant to preorder. Oh, and great review by the way!

I love the darker color and the transformation is cleaner than I've ever seen from xtransbots. Definitely the one I am going to get.

I really like the vehicle mode on this version, but I prefer Toyworld's take on the robot mode.

Nice but expensive :-). All these models coming from everywhere. I started with Takara but soon realised that my taste for better models is not only Takara. Really looking for that g1 cartoon look.

I do have the toyworld and like it very much... I think this is really good. only thing that is off for me is the head sculpt. maybe to plain. I understand its a sample. but the face on the toyworld is alot easier on the eyes.. also he is a really big mini bot. I think I like the toyworld scale slightly better. I still might get him.. I would have to see the final product. am I the only one that finds it odd that both 3rd party offerings don't come with an actual gun?

This is a great figure. Die cast is excellent and proportioned correctly. Only mini bot I can think of worth $70 +, and I’m a cheapskate. 👍👍

Ben, do you know if they are going to be releasing two versions of Klaatu? The initial pics I saw of this figure had him being a lighter green. They did the same with their Boost figure.

This was the one I was waiting for... But, after seeing a couple videos now, I'm just not all that impressed. I actually like the larger size, but I definitely prefer the aesthetics of the Toyworld release. Side by side I think the version from Toyworld just looks better. Maybe it's the colors they chose or the lack of detailing, but this figure just doesn't fit the high end Masterpiece aesthetic for me, at least for my collection.
