The cool thing about the joints on transforming robuts is that they don't have to adhere to anthropic standards of flexibility and articulation points, so if you can pull a joint out of socket or use a transformation hinge to get higher range of movement, the robut irl would most likely do that whenever necessary. Think about it.

Appreciate that you do walk through, but kind of a crucial jump cut at 12:40 that took me a minute to figure out a amissed step. Like how you show a lot of 3rd party figs that others do not. Keep it up!

Please, can you put over sized mpp10, mpp33 and robot hero CG alongside with regular Ironhide, Trailerbreaker and some sportcars (jazz, sideswipe etc.) in vehicle mode? And a 1/28 human / action figure, just for the sake of scale comparisons. I think you can do a whole video about it but even a photo would be great... Please...?

I hate the transformation of the knees and legs into vehicle mode, it's so difficult to get the tabs aligned and all four knees at the correct angle with such little clearance from the way the shoulder stuff is stored and the back of the truck. I spent over an hour trying to do it just now and gave up, took me like 30 seconds to transform the rest of him back.

Just received this figure in the mail on Friday. He LOOKS FANTASTIC! PERFECT cartoon version- as if he walked out of the screen! CONS- My complaints are minimal and that being a few annoying things during transformation such as the double hinges on bottom of legs and the little flaps behind the windows being the ONLY thing that holds the backpack onto the figure-! Not too fond of the radar scrambler and shoulder missile launcher being permanently attached either... don't get me wrong- they look spot on to the cartoon but would be nice to remove. PROS- ALL the paints looks beautiful. BOTH modes are spot on with the cartoon! If you plan on DISPLAYING him and not playing with him than you have yourself one AWESOME TRAILBREAKER! THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT REVIEW AS ALWAYS! Keep up the fantastic work!

The Toyota HiLux with camper topper for the bed! Tough little light dutry trucks back in the day. There was a running joke on the old Top Gear about HiLux's being indestructable lol. Trailbreaker's model isn't too far off from the one my Dad had...his was missing the topper tho.

This guy looks great, but I already know Takara is working on an official MP Trailbreaker and Hoist since one of the engineers mentioned it in an interview. So I will hold out on this guy but i have to say, this Trailbreaker is damn near perfect. I wished the transformation was a bit less complicated.

Looking at the opening scene with all those G1 autobots, I can't help but feel someone needs to make another Wheeljack. The TT mould doesn't do him much justice in robot mode just like the TT Sideswipe doesn't flatter Sideswipe. If that is MP-44, I don't like that enormous hunch-back, either. That backpack looks really bad, man: Transform Element all the way, unless you want ab crunch then the MS all the way but the TE looks a bit better IMO.

Yeah i agree on MP 44. The backpack is way too big but it being a voicebox is a good reason for it.

This looks great, but I know Takara can make a much better figure with an easier transformation...despite all the bullshit QC issues they’ve been having lately, Trailbreaker is too simple to fuck up lol

Do the flaps that come from the windows of the rear cab still tab in under the arms? because these were the weakest hinges I have ever seen on a masterpiece, both of them have crumbled to dust on my original Aegis and with that being the only connection that holds the backpack to the torso...well, it kinda ruins the figure. I'm really hoping they've figured so other way of making that connection because the clear plastic they used was so brittle and the stress on that hinge substantial

Pre ordered this one already, waiting for Hoist Cartoon version, don't like the old version because of the hands. Hope Hoist have the same hands as this new trailbreaker

I am glad I didn't get the first release of this guy. Buttttt....he is too tall. MMC got the height the most accurate but I like the looks of this one better, personally. What is weird is I always thought of Trailbreaker as the really tall dude but looking at cartoon captures, he was shorter than Ironhide, he was actually the height of Terraegis even though in my mind's eye, this one was the correct height and I don't know why. Dam though, that opening with all the not-G1 Autobots looks friggin awesome! And XTB Trailbreaker makes a hell of a statement. He is so cartoon accurate other than the height.

To be fair, heights aren't perfect throughout the cartoon of any figure. He definitely should be taller than say the Lambor brothers.

It's sad that they redo this figure and they did nothing about his stability does not stand well at all absolutely at all I sent mine back so fast I didn't even know I sent it back garbage that's the problem with x trans bots they never think outside the box. I enjoy listening and watching you reviewers but you guys man you guys give more pros than cons if you're not going to be fair about it then don't bother doing reviews. It's us customers spending the money as well as you.

These instructions are terrible. You don't put the head in far enough and fold the hands in incorrectly. Then don't show how to put the arms into the alt mode, which wouldn't work without rearranging the hands and head. It's not the first time I've seen stages missing in Ben's videos.
