Is the X-Wing : Reconstructed project definitely dead ? Could there be any way to help ? The TIE Fighter : Reconstructed mod is a beautiful thing, wish there was the same for X-Wing ! Fantastic work on the reorchestration !

Someone had the full X Wing Soundtrack posted here (KZbin) until a couple days ago. Then the video went private. That's sad! Great music. Hope it gets the same treatment as TIE Fighter's also magnificent music.

I'm not - I'm using sample libraries, which is sort of like comparing MacDonald's hamburgers to Prime Rib. At the time, I was using EWQL's Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Plus. Having upgraded to their Hollywood Orchestra, I've given serious consideration to redoing all the TIE Fighter/X-Wing stuff with the better instrument sets.

Is it possible to convert EWQL sample libraries into soundfont? I've found this interesting soundfont page: musescore.org/en/node/95436 And according to the page, the Grande Orchestra soundfont is partially based on EWQL --although it's not necessarily the same EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Plus you are using. ...No. No it is not. You cannot reliably condense over 200Gb of samples down to a kb-sized sound font. Besides, the EWQL sample libraries are copyrighted - conversion like this is illegal under the EULA.
