The common denominator (not necessarily the Least) is yw Multiply the equation by 1 (yw) / (yw) = 1 (xw) / (yw) + (yz) / (yw) (xw + yz) / yw It is so much easier on paper where I can use the long underscore for division and avoid those parentheses)

At the title card, I'm going with c) (xw + yz)/(yw). Cross-multiply each numerator with the opposite denominator, then multiply the two denominators to get everything to a common denominator.

We multiply both the denominator and the numerator by the same number (e.g. 5), because we cannot change the fraction, such we practically multiply those fractions by 1 (one), the neutral number of the multiplication 😃, which can be written either by 5/5 = 1, or 2/2 = 1, or w/w = 1, or y/y = 1.😄 We just peak the fraction which suits us, for 1/2 it will be 5/5, and for 3/5 it will be 2/2, for this way will get the same denominator, 10 (ten), and for x/y it will be w/w =1, and for z/w it will be y/y =1, in view to get the same denominator, y•w ! LOVELY! Thank you, Pro ! 🙏 Though, I do not agree those last teachings you've done, which are in vogue in the British/American curriculum (?) perhaps, used in view to "help" the students to think less 🥱, and solve more... Hm! 🤔 It's like getting some stimulants for grate muscles, without practice...🧐 Really ?? Isn't right the idea of exercise any of our knowledge in Math, anytime it arise the moment 🤗

It's C You need the LCD of Y and W ... which is YW and then you multiply X by W and Z by Y

There is no times between the x & z, It's a PLUS sign (+). The y & w are multiplied to get the LCD.
