Thank you very much. I use a lot third party lens on my Leica M and Sony a7cii, now I got a Hasselblad 907x with cfv100c and considering to get some third party lens. The examples helped a lot!

Had no idea the Leica M lenses were an option here. Good result :) I have an old Schneider 50mm TS that was built for Hassleblad, but mine is adapted in EF. I'm going in the wrong direction!

LOL. BTW, I just spent three days shooting in the mountains with the Leica D-Lux 8, and it's absolutely wonderful! It's very cute, but so damn capable. I also took my X2D to Jamieson, but shot 95% of my images with the Leica because it was always to hand, and did everything so well - landscapes, portraits, macro, and even car shots. The colours are lovely, and the resolution is enough if you compose well to begin with (the 24-75 helps a lot with this). Oh, and BTW, that TTArtisan 100mm f/2.8 macro lens (on the R6 MKII) is awesome. Have fun in Nepal!

Thankyou for this summary! For now I do not have an XD2, but I plan to get one in the future.. so this is welcome as I plan to use some "legacy" NON Hasselblad lenses --- Hopefully to manual focus with the XDC should not be a mystery or hard challenge. Thankyou for your insight in this system! Best wishes from Austria Christian

I really had no Idea that you could adapt M lenses to it. Thanks for this video. I have held off on getting one because the XCD lenses are nigh impossible to find but I have a grip of Leica and voigtlanders I could put on here.

I have been looking at used Leica R 180mm f/2.8 lenses - what version do you use, APO, non-APO v1 or v2 - gets a bit confusing if you are new to Leica system. Thanks!!
@peterfritzphotoАй бұрын
@@MerriLisaTrigilio Indeed! I bought the non-APO Version II 3-cam model off eBay for US$600. It’s outstanding.

Thankyou for a great video with beautiful examples! How large was the resolution in the pictures in mean when using the fullframe lenses? Sixty megapixel? Best regards from Sweden! Paul
@peterfritzphoto2 ай бұрын
The square images are about 76 MP, the 2:1 images about 65 MP, and the X-Pan images about 50 MP.

How much cropping did the Voigtlander 50 APO require?
@peterfritzphoto3 ай бұрын
Perhaps 10%. Typically with the 50 and the 21, I just step back a little if necessary.

Does using electronic shutter affect how you take long exposure (like smoothing out lake surface)? What about (totally opposite) panning shot of someone on a bike? (I am guessing it'd be a 'no' for the second question.)
@peterfritzphoto2 ай бұрын
@@sebastianloh3800 Electronic shutter is fine for moving water and clouds, but no good for panning a moving subject.

7:03 That might not be a good idea since a lot of lenses have focus shift, which means the plane of focus changes on stopping down.

Hello Peter, I found your hannel from Bobby Tonelli's D Lux 8 video's comment section, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, would you love to have a logo redesign to have a graphic that direction made from your name so it is more creatively noticeable even in a small scale, custom membership badges, wallpaper and app icons packs and any kind of artworks to help scale up your branding and business opportunities? Let me know if you interested and I would love to craft something for you! :-)
