I really want to like this game but I feel like I'm constantly being blown up by containers, overshooting my target by a LOT and randomly being hunted and destroyed by red ships that I can't outrun. Other than that I really like the game so far.

Sadly the most important tip is missing. Stacking your miners with service crew and farming five star pilots like there's no tomorrow.

Nope, that tip is definitely in there. Along the lines of "when you buy larger ships, you get more crew, they all level up and you can move them around"
