Fun fact about scanning stations: Once you have 30% of a station scanned you can see the storage levels of wares in the station. One of those weird thresholds that can slip under the radar. Also I don't know if you noticed but the special Teladi resource is named after them. Teladi - anium as in uranium or geranium etc. That's the easiest way for me to remember it.

Not sure if you have it planned, but if you could talk about the "global orders" menu and go over the various 'trade rules' and the other kinds of global orders. I think a lot of new players (and some older ones, like myself) who have never used them would find it useful to learn about what they do. Personally, I've tried using them, but the game itself doesn't provide good feedback in what they do... and I stopped trying to figure them out. The trade rules especially as "station supply" and "station trade" are similar enough to a point that it, at least for me leaves me confused. (As I've been trying to get npcs to just not sell anything to a station, but still buy from it.) ^^: But they're very stubborn.

I've just started playing this and I'm really enjoying the learning experience weirdly.. Loving these vids so thankyou for your efforts. I can't help thinking how amazeballs this game would be if Egosoft gave it the VR treatment, it would kill any interest in ED and NMS in a heartbeat.. Both games have their pluses and serious negatives. I've always wanted a game that combines both of their good points and X4 seems to be it.

Thank you so much for doing this guide! I tried x4 waaaaaay back and bounced off it cause I was overwhelmed, but these videos inspired me to give it another try and I've ended up putting 40 hours into it over the last 4 days. My wife may leave me, but at least I can rest easy knowing I've got sweet, sweet credits flowing in :) One question, do you have any QoL mod recommendations?

Not sure you can 100% scan a station, I've scanned every single part of multiple stations and some rarely get over 80% information on it.

I found it I can Store it but i can't sell it (protectyon) how do i sell it?

Ive had a similar issue myself, I dont think you can sell it directly, but im rusty on Protectyon, it may also need to be unlocked via the storymide

No, some parts yes, but other parts far succeed what ED ever had. I would say if you enjoy ED and stellaris, youll enjoy this as its a combo of the two

Elites Galaxy aside it’s an Indy version of X4. Elite has a faux economy, the NPC ships aside from interdictions and res sites/nav beacons are purely set dressing. Planetary landings are a thing but unless you’re looking for guardian, thargoid, or biologicals are the same rock you’ve seen 1000 times before etc etc. I love love love elite but both games have their place.
