I don't do much social media - at all, really, beyond the very occassional reddit post or comment on here - but just on the off-chance that you had a part in developing the accessibility options for the game (or wanna high-5 the guys who did) can i just say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! for the limit on maximum light output option. As somebody who is photosensitive, having torches shine out of my screen is the bane of my tv/gamimg life, and idk whether other games have done this before or not but it's the first time I've come across it and I bought the entire x4 bundle on steam because of it and when i get paid will be buying everything else of yours that i can find too. Will keep buying whatever ya put out too. Not sure I can overstate how important it is to ppl like me that the things we try to enjoy don't keep punching us in the face whilst we enjoy them... ... just as a side note though, if you do speak with whoeveer handles accessibility stuff, it'd be fantastic if we could change the UI (especially the colours and bar scale). It's not that it isn't beautiful, it's just that I can't see half of it most of the time - I still have no idea what the buttons are meant to represent beyond the running-out-of-air in space suit one. Found that one out the hard way xd

I use this command in argon V xenon supply missions. Fill it up with the required wares and then restrict it to the mission sector and let it get on with it. It does take several hours as the stations are usually full when you start the mission.

It works great along with restricting the wares list + setting up blacklist to control its operation area. For example, if you can spot a big factory selling a ware, and several factories buying : it will indeed top up at the selling factory, and sell at each buying factory. The more restricted it is in wares and area, the faster it locates new trades. But I think it's a basic operating mode, and as soon as you can afford your own trading station, it gives you much more control over everything :-) (although the "distribute wares" has no range limit)

You know, the original X-BTF game (and IIRC at least some of the later games) did purchase other races products. Teladium was commonly bought in other stations. I kinda miss that feature.

I have had it were Distribute Wares will pick a station sell to make the sale for 2000 units undock start looking for a new buy order but by that time the same station put up a new order for 100 units and my ship that was order to Distribute Wares is now suck in a loop selling only 100 units at a time to one station.

I think Distribute Wares home is medium or small ship and just do manpower stuff. That means just food and med. The less items you have on their trade list the better.

Is it possible to have ships mimic the distribute ware behavior? The command could be useful for internal logistic fleets but i don't want to fill my ship-list with dozens of Trade ships (same reason I don't like using repeat orders for internal logistics)

mimic distribute wares with a "blacklist -> trade restriction -> restrict all factions" will work for your idea of an internal logistic fleet. I do the same thing myself now that I know there is no range limit to that behavior

I believe they are changing the name of this to something that makes more sense. Basically it will try and find a ware that is nearly or is maxed out in storage somewhere and then sell it to where ever will take it, not necessarily at the best sell price either but since it's buying when the seller is nearly maxed out you usually end up turning a profit.

I'm at a point where I produce a lot of things in large quantities but no trade comes to the GE 1 HQ. What should I do? Space stations in different sectors to distribute the goods closer or?

You'll get up to date trade information for 5 hours after flying near the station. If you can't get line of sight to the station at least once every 5 hours you'll need satellites
