Goodness sounds like my story. I am 4”11 and was divorced and marry my now husband who was single. My mom in law hated me with a passion, refusing to call me Nyab or even seeing our first born son who was also their first born grand baby . Mom in law saying I used my potions on her son. Please lady, why would I use anything on a guy who had no car, no job at that time and was living at college. It’s all good, 26 years later, we still married!! So thanks to my in laws, they made me stronger and better!

I understand we all want the best for our kids and fearful they will get taken advantage of or someone hurting them but we need to let go and let them figure that out in their own. @@ThePrincessWorrior There are good Christians, which I highly respect. But the bad ones are the most judgmental and hypocritical of all, according to my experience. They read the bible but they don't comprehend the message and would hate it when you question their intentions or "authority" lol. I also called out one of my friend's mother in-laws (in a nice matter) about her expecting her sons to take care of her and on how being a controlling mother in-law to the nyabs would get her nowhere. Mind you, she did attended the church my parents used to attend and she mistreated my friend badly after giving birth to her first born child at the hospital. She wasn't having it and was using bible verses to curse me while I was on my lunch break visiting my friend lol

You should not pick sides. If your Mom helped watch your kid while your wife was able to finish college, then this already shows that she is not that bad. Maybe your wife hates your Mom too that’s why every little thing your Mom does annoys her. Where is your Dad in this picture? Why didn’t you talk to your Dad instead of calling the uncle? Your wife kicked you out once already, she will do more in the future. It’s sad you haven’t visit your mom for 4 years. Sounds like your wife is not that good either. I want to hear your mom side of the story.

You just love your wife twice as much to make up for your mother's portion. Please take precaution and protect your children from grandma's negative energy too. The children will see right through her preference over the other grandchildren over them and either love her or hate her. You don't need her inheritance, you earn your own money and worth.

My mil didn’t like me either but I didn’t let that effect me or my role as a good nyab. I was going to school and working but cooked 3 meals a day for my in laws everyday. This still didn’t make them like me but in my heart I knew I was the good one a d they’re the evil ones. At the end they finally realized I was the good nyab compared to the ones they like. They finally started treating me better but unfortunately they died and is no longer with us.

I can so related to this. My mnl didn't pay fir our wedding either. We did everything ourself. We didn't get a penny from her either. We lived on our own think God since we had married. She never watches our kids but will watched her other kids kids. We are going on 17th years n recently I spoke against her. And she got the guts to called and tell my husband to choose between me n our kids or her. If he pick her. She will asked all his siblings to pitch in to buy him another wife. Omg these inlaws, I have one who is very very much like this one. I almost thought someone was telling my story 😅. I hate it when everyone tells you to be patient, even the husband tells her to be patient but no one has her back or tries to ease her situation. Only the nyab must endure all hurt and pain but when she speaks up for herself for having enough all hell breaks lose. Shame on you for putting your wife through such a painful life and then even consider leaving her for your mom. What your mom did was bad enough but for you to add salt and pepper to her wounds, you are worse than your mom, she endured everything bc she loved you and you just allowed it to happen. I'm not glad you chose her, I'm happy for that she was able to overcome the sh*t that your family did to love you still. You did the right thing, brother. A lot of relationships fail because the son is too obedient and chooses his parents over his wife. Yes, they are your parents and the love will always be there, but you have to choose your wife and children because that is your present and future. Don't feel bad for making the choices you've made. Your mother is very selfish and narcissistic. If she loved you and even if she doesn't like your wife, she should learn to accept it. It's not like your wife treats you poorly. The only reason why she acted the way she did toward your parents is because she finally had enough. I applaud her for that. It takes a lot to stand up for yourself in this type of relationship. After listening to this story I don’t blame the mother in law because she was insecure and was afraid the daughter in law will leave her son one day! For the sister in law she’s out of the house she should never ask her husband to pick even though their relationship is hell. The son can’t be a man he can’t stand up for himself he need to learn how to control and solve the issue between his mom and wife not move out when there’s hate. I understand is hard to have such a mother in law but I will never ask my husband to pick his mom or me? What if the table was to turn around I know for sure I can’t pick my husband, I need my mom in my life too hate or not hate she’s my mom. There must be something they done to her for her to be acting up some people don’t just hate you for no reason!
