You eat broc and journal like a champ! 😆 Sweet drone shot of the beaver and lodge. I've heard people say that's "harassing" wildlife, but I find that ridiculous. Of all the difficulties and perils wild animals face, a buzzing bird above them for a minute is nothing.
@XanderBudnick3 жыл бұрын
Yah I didn't really think about it at the time but it could be disruptive for the animals. He kind came into my shot when I was filming the water and I got caught up in filming him. I think he came by my camp later they evening and started smacking his tail at me :p

Great setup I love the high tie out. I just got back from exploring some pine meadows just like that in Alberta's sand belt today. Here, they're basically sand dunes left behind by the North Saskatchewan and Athabasca Rivers. At the peak of each dune, the soil is so thin that trees can't grow, so the meadows are formed. In between them wetlands form. It's a really cool ecosystem, I saw all kinds of scat including what I think was wolf scat full of deer hair. Crazy diversity of plants in there as well. Looking forward to checking out more of these videos!

Just from personal experience, I have found the best way to carry cooking oils in my pack is to use those little metal drink flasks. The kind the groom gives to his groomsmen and they abuse at the wedding. Holds from 4 ounces to 21 ounces usually, and they never leak and can take some abuse.

Those branches MAY have been stripped by a deer in rut... but I believe that bucks in rut TYPICALLY strip the bark off of small saplings... and about at chest high and lower. Another thing is that deer in rut are completely out of their minds... so I wouldn't put it past them to be passing thru, get hungup a bit (like we all do with our packs on) and then in a little fit of fury tear at the tree limbs. You basically don't want to be around bucks in rut.. they get crazy. Great video.
