Alone, is impressive. I see it all over youtube. But, historically, we always had community. that is more long term of a situation. can you show us some community efforts, so we may have hope of a long term presence in a natural setting? rather than, alone, briefly, in natural settings.

So i know that in western culture , we like to be alone. Everyone is seperated to extremes. I see solo trips in wilderness all over youtube. and well, for over a million years, we had community. always. to not have community was one of the worst things to happen to us. I wonder. if you see this comment. can you film some community projects? because i think , if we are to return to a more healthy state... together is the way.

That stupid bear spray is going to get you killed. You should be sleeping with that shotgun loaded. Bear mace kills more people than it saves, because it gives people a VERY false sense of confidence. 90% of the time, the mace will do nothing to stop them. Carry a large sharp knife on the left side of your waist, and a loud whistle while you hike, but you should be carrying a pistol on a leg holster, loaded and chambered. Optimally a 50 caliber Desert Eagle, or a .45 with the highest grain ammo you can find. I bear can run the distance of 2 large buses in under 3 seconds, easily. The bear mace won't even have the chance to register pain and discomfort by the time the bear has your face in it's jaws.

Canada is crazy. When are you coming to Maine? I live in southern Maine now on the coast, and the Appalachian Trail runs right by my house and continues another 140 miles to Mt. Katahdin at the northern start. You obviously know about the Appalachian Trail but if you ever do the trip, you could start in the north and you would reach me on day 8-9, roughly. My door is always open if you wanted to take a hot shower, give your clothes a wash and stuff yourself with good food to fuel up and rest for a couple days and a night. If you ever read this, remember the offer and just comment on it if you ever want to do the trail and I will see it and give you my contact info. I am a recovered addict as well. I grew up in northern Maine on the Canadian border. My grandmother was from New Brunswick and the family had land on a lake in Quebec with a camp that we went to every couple weeks in the summer. She sold it when my grandfather died about 10 years ago. I miss it so much. The food in Canada was always better and cheaper.

I’m so happy for you, I love to see things pan out for people. As a 35 year old father, I’m drowning in struggles with my mental health. Thoughts of ending it all creep in daily. I’m trapped in physical pain I can’t afford to address, my mind feels like it’s slipping, and I can’t see a doctor to figure it out. The headaches just keep getting worse. I wish services like BetterHelp were within reach, wish I could go back to school, but I feel stuck, like there’s no way out. The thought of leaving my daughter behind destroys me, but I’m so damn tired.
