Key issue for Grubby's group was that they had no calm and experienced leader taking charge to lead them through this mess. They had several options to recover but they wasted precious time, health and mana by running around like a bunch of headless chicken. Running straight for evade spot was the easiest solution. Going for a 300-style of "stand and fight" with LoS and major CDs was also doable. Even running/kiting out the long way to drop party, hearth and/or reach another evade spot was possible.

In early days of Vanilla, that Witch Doctor NPC in Everlook was Horde PvP flagged. They only made her neutral in a later patch so that Alliance could also get the raid buff items in Winterspring. Perhaps by sending his pet to attack, it triggered some lost remnant in the game's programming of her being a PvP flagged NPC. And the goblin guards see that as a PvP action and intervene. Still kinda weird as both the player and the NPC (was) Horde. But there's my loose theory.

I mean there where many things they could have done. I believe they had at least 2 ingis in the grp. I am pretty confident they just could have stayed at the place they where at the beginning and just fight them, they where in the perfect spot to los them. all had full live and grubby and the priest at the time they realized had over 50% mana and no cd had been used. They just paniced and sacrificed half of their live in the fire, while stratching out the mobs so they cant be aoed and cleaved at a sport they could not easily los anymore.

i think actual learn to play mechanics will help, i made 3 character to 60 on hc with only 1 add on for bag,and gather profession for gold, never had engineering never been in a situation that need dummy or panic

They could have lived, if everyone ran to The Lyceum and jumped on the wall, easy save. melee mobs can't get up there and it's a safe spot, if anything some of the range mobs might attack them but that would be easy to deal with, that's what I would have done for sure. It's a standard spot to run around the room and skip everything. There needs to be 1 person in control to decide on what the group is going to do (run/fight,etc). When there are that many people talking on comms it just makes it to crazy to understand what the plan is. I had this happen in AQ40 doing C'thun, 1 person auto ran on his mount past the opening to C'thuns room and he started the fight, so many people on comms trying to tell people what to do I instantly called hearth and we saved at least 30 peoples world buffs etc. Hardcore is no joke, you need to have a person in charge and they need to have plans to fight/run, clear comms so that people don't die and waste all that time and energy.

with the unstuck situation, from now on we all know the only solutions are: 1. Hearth out if Hearth is on cooldown 2. Get a mage from the guild come over to make a portal 3. Get a Warlock from the guild to summon you 4. Get a raid group together and clear out the nearest alliance town

best case scenario : grubby realizing he did not in fact pull agro, wasn't in combat until he cast the nova ... and easily had time enough to create a portal...something to think about mages. creating a portal before pulls gives your group the best chance of all surviving pulls that go sideways second best case scenario would have been a grubby sacrifice. had he thrown up a blizzard, just like he did...and then ice blocked...just like he did.... and the cone of cold...just like he did....then coldsnap and ice block...just like he did...and everyone else just hearthed instead of spreading the agro, they all would have made it out alive...except grubby. that's one thing a mage can do...good luck to finding a mage willing to do...i think Grubby would be that mage, had it have been understood by the rest of the team to quickly hearth when they reached the dead end rather then fight, this man grubby would have made it possible.

the best case scenario is for mage to get all agro in that situation, and go up the stairs (where the mobs were pulled) and block to gather all the mobs, then nova and jump down and immediately hearth. the mobs will be frozen for 8 seconds and then having to run down to reach him. giving him enough time to get away

They were too casual about it, looking up loot, talking like they are done with the run, having one of the hardest moments ahead of them. if you are alle 60, it is less risky with face pulls, you don't really need to pull everything back. if you are below 60, pull the side groups back, LOS them, play it safe. after they asspulled, they should have known a plan b, a backup plan. after you light the brazers and the doors open, every mob that respawned beforehand doesnt respawn anymore. you can preclear a field as a backup lane to MC where you can just leave group and run until you get ported out. they didn't do it. there are evade spots. they didn't communicate them. they could have fought it at the LOS spot at the door. running away has the risk, that the fire damages you, weakening so if you decide to fight, you are in a worse spot. long tory short, they got too comfortable and cocky and paid the price. additionally, they have people in the group who do challenges and aren't veterans of the game, quite newby. they have to play things safe, especially if they don't have 10 repeats of this dungeons and don't know every which way shit can go down. the experienced people in the group basically killed the newbs. if this situation would have happened to a 5 people group of sweats, they would have survived easely. it is tankable, it is healable, so all that matters is smart dps and the dmg has to be on point.

They stay in room behind corner, grubby sheeps 1 caster as they come in, and freezes melee mobs, then COC circle/blink/freeze kite multiple melee. Dendi gouge/stun/kick up another caster and the group assist him w/killing one at a time. They lost so much HP/mana going into Mag's room and they had no space to kite. War could put on a shield (if they didn't) and use shouts/claps and interrupts to collect any leftover mobs.

This was a proximity pull by the warrior. My advice would be to pull mobs back rather than charge in. Charging will get you killed. Use your bow/gun and LOS and bring the mobs back to you.

Tanks need to take control in dungeons and don't be lazy. Blizzard puts the mobs close together to social aggro, you don't have to tank them where they are grouped! Range pull the group to the door warrior. That room is so huge and they just don't use any of the open space

That controller mod is a god send . I got a messed up bone in my wrist along with 2 plates and 12 screws in my arm. It makes mouse very painful to use after 20 minutes, I wouldn't be able to enjoy wow without the console port mod (the add on she is using for controller use)

The solution for those casters suffering pushback from swarmers is immolation oil. It's not very expensive and will clear all that up without needing to cast a spell.

!00% was a body agro and the people in melee ranges fault. They should have just fought the pull. If they used the corner to LOS (like you should for that pull anyway) it is an easy pull. Them panicking and running is what got them killed. Also they could have just gone into the next room and jumped up onto the ledge that goes around the room to reset the them. After seeing Annie's POV it is 100% Milks fault.

It's the Tauren warrior who pulled, not Grubby. They could have easily solved this. Annie's first call to kill the current pack was good. Then she panics and calls "run". This is the call that wiped them. They should have stayed calm and killed the other mobs without running. They have a great team comp with 2 warriors, great damage and cc.

ppl r too kind to tell the truth. gruddy did pretty well for 2nd toon. but i hav to say grubby was right about they were not ready. there was just 1 elite mob in that pack and no reason to run. he could los aoe mobs down b4 mobs' 2nd shocks, he got 3 icebarrier in a row by icebarrier in advance, 2nd icebarrier when 1st gone and coldsnap for 3nd one. thats good enough to kill all nonelites. another major mistake was he respec w/o putting on improved blizzard, which is must for dungeons.

i think running in the first clip is actually the wrong call, they full cleared the first pack with full hp before the extra pack was downstairs. only the one pack pulled so with a sheep and some rogue ccs its a clean clear no problem. dont blame them though hc is stressful and the panic just sets in when an unplanned pull happens. it was only 5 mobs and priest still had most of their mana
