@@jeytv7059 this rise last week wasn't because of geopolitics, it was short covering. In October we had open interest of 320k contracts (long) gold, now (1 month later) we have 260k longs. So, it was 20% selling by hedge funds and large speculators that drove the price down since October, hedge funds don't care much about geopolitics, they know US is a safe country and no armed gorillas from Soviet Union will do anything to them. So, ithe selling is only because of rising US dollar. And the dollar is rising because global economy is entering a depression. And it enters into depression because all industrial revolutions we had for the last 50 years are coming to an end. (mobile industry growth is over, internet growth is over, computing system industry growth is over, and so on...) Because people thought industrial revolutions will continue forever, they borrowed a lot of money (example: US debt), now this debt will have to be paid, but there is no industry that is able to deliver more economic groth (AI is not ready, robotics is waiting for AI, nanotechnology is not yet developed). This is why US dollar is rising. It has been rising for the last 15 years, but now it is getting momentum, that's why you have to sell gold.

Closing at $2400 next week alone is very aggressive target 🎯 What will motivate sellers to do that?

@@SangamAgarwalforex why is it aggressive? We are now into 150 dollar trading volatility per week. Since current week was a counter-trend move, market will undo it, and put another weekly low , so it has to do the double selling (i.e. 300 instead of 150). Fundamentally nothing changed, hedge funds are continuing to sell, and next week the market will be on low volume, it is much easier to drop prices on low volume. I don't even apply momentum increase in my projection, but if I would, the weekly selling should increase by some factor,, like say -200 per week. But since Thursday is not traded by US, we can kind of cancel out the momentum. So, it is not aggressive target, it is just ok for bear market.
