In solo tracking mode, will it track just me when I’m playing full court basketball or it follows the ball?

It will track you. Apparently with the February 2024 update single person tracking is improved and can select who to track in a crowd. Haven't yet tested this feature but hope to do so in a revisit in a few weeks and try the Xbot tripod and Bluetooth remote.

it didnt seem to track football very well? can it track the ball? or just a specific player? seems like it would lose the ball during the game?

Size of the ball field area to be tracked based on your location seems to make a difference. Don't know what phone you have but a fast processor in the phone also matters. I personally have never tried football since it is winter time here... When I was out with the socker ball by myself single person tracking would have been my better choice since it seems to do best with movement tracking and not the ball like I had thought... Did a darned good job of somehow knowing where the hockey puck was but apparently it wasn't tracking the puck but knew by player movement. Some sort of AI magic I don't understand.

hi would this work with Samsung note 10 plus phone ?

@@markholman5540 it may work but not very well with a very lacking processor. The phone I used was just under spec but the Note 10 from 2019 is likely slower than my 2022 phone. Might still work but may struggle a lot I would guess.

I'm curious how long these motors last, I know people had issues with gimbals for action cameras. But none of them used this brand. But would be interesting to see a long term review. Interesting it saves the footage to the gimbal not the phone. The tracking seems good, a bit delayed in the studio when tracking down. I managed to film gimbal like footage without any gimbal, but it requires sneaky, careful walking and movements. But if that's not gonna work for you, gimbal is nice. But for running, and aggressive movements, gimbal is a must. But it makes things easier, so less likely to mess up a shot.

Looks like they don't do action camera gimbals, maybe this one will do it with another mounts? any plans for it?

With another mount? This gimbal has updated software that came out about 2 weeks ago to improve single person and group tracking. AI is done in the phone and everything is recorded into the phone. The phone I was using is under recommended spec. Upgraded my phone and also have their tripod now for mounting. I am planning a revisiting. If you want a single person smooth gimbal this isn't the only one I reviewed... The other gimbal is more camera while that other brand makes a mobile phone specific model which you don't need mobile phone specific... The phone version of the other brand has like 12% of comments about that gimbal overheating.

I don't know if that exists, but I saw other brands have action cam specific gimbals. so the holder/mount what ever it's called holds the camera. Does this unit work as just a gimbal without tracking too? @@sparketech

@@mtbboy1993 I literally state it when using the Gimbal pro software in Gimbal mode... Not sure if you missed that in the review. I test everything I can when I review, at least I try to. My other gimbal I only only reviewed single person tracking but it is also a gimbal kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIfQoJiLe9V3qK8si=KTC1sCOgKCnQntZ7 I reviewed another gimbal on this channel as well but the other one Aircross 2 for tracking is trash.

Does it support the front camera recording?

Yes I can record with the front camera the new January 2024 software update. Previously I could not self track with the front camera when I did this video. Rear camera works better, better camera.

Anyone that has used this (I purchased the product and it works well) have you ran into battery problems with the device you use (my cell phone). My phone drains after fully charged when streaming my son's 60 min soccer game. It barely makes it through. Trying to connect the phone to an external power bank while in the gimbal, the gimbal recognizes the weight difference and starts beeping and doesn't work. Does anyone have any battery charging solutions they have tried that doesn't mess with the gimbal calibration?

@@CarlaRFowler I learned after this video that my phone was under spec, this needs a fast phone processor. Here's something else you can learn, there is a newer upgraded model coming. I'm reviewing it before it is available for sale, can't tell you anything yet because I am working out of town for 2 weeks and it is likely still in transit to my studio.

Can use a phone for videos without the need for a huge camera. You've iPhone should have a good camera for recording
