@@greysnake2903 Even as someone who doesn't play that many FPS, it's one genre where I don't care if it seems overdone. Open world games can be complained about being overdone because they take 50-100 hours for each one and it's a constant storyline of one character. FPS is one campaign, maybe two, and most of the action is drop in and shoot. Much easier to play through 20 FPS in a year than 20 RPG.

The Indiana Jones game feels like the game that a studio makes and is surprisingly better than anyone expected from that IP, so then the studio gets to make the original Wolfenstein game that they really wanted to make in the first place.

@greysnake2903 Yes, in the ones that I have seen, I remember watching showcases that left me feeling great and excited for the year ahead, this one was meh at best, but considering the other showcases that I have seen for this event, I haven't seen a couple of them, so I can't say for certain that this one was the best of them, but compared to the other showcases here, this one was the best, but honestly, it wasn't that high of a bar to clear.

I am a primary PC player, and have always gravitated towards Sony and Nintendo for consoles as PC gets me everything on Xbox already. BUT... this Showcase is so jam packed with amazing games I personally think anyone would be foolish as hell to go with Playstation over Xbox if they were looking to get a console. Unless they have a great modern PC to play all this stuff. The recent Playstation showcase had a few good titles, not an endless amount of amazing stuff like this had. Good job Phil. Glad you all pulled this off. But please don't dig yourselves into a giant hole giving away every damn title on Gamepass. Your fans want Xbox consoles for decades to come. Not to be near end of life just to please the fans you already have with freebies. For the love of god make more money off players and keep it going.

The thing about GP is, getting enough users. If they can get enough of a stable subscriber base, they absolutely can put every game on their and make it sustainable. In fact, it likely already is sustainable given they do still make quite alot of direct sales despite all the narratives that Xbox players don't buy games. Basically it's a gamble. Put more stuff on the service, to draw more people in. Draw enough people in and it more than pays for itself. Draw too few in and you don't make much profit, or eventually even make a loss if you lose subs.

Great stuff brother, what you hit this weekend happened to me 3 months ago. And I’ve been more focused on Switch for my gaming, however more importantly God and family. I watched the games fest stuff and yes I agree it’s phenomenal, almost want to purchase a series X but I know I don’t need it nor will I put time into it, because I will run back to my portable switch and game on that. Keep up the vids , and also if it’s a business decision for your channel, run your business and produce the content you love to produce. Because if you fake the content it wouldn’t thrive anyway. I'm hoping the same. Was really excited for Gears 6, but I do think doing E-Day first and then 6 could be exactly what the Series needs. If they can pull it off, it'll give the Coalition the experience of making an absolute love letter to the Series and learn alot about the core of Gears and what made so many fans fall in love with it in the first place. Bringing back some of those horror vibes etc... It should also give the franchise some hype again and get lapsed fans reinvested. If they can take all of the above and then channel it into the eventual Gears of War 6, it could be all the better for it.

Yooo, this showcase had so much great stuff. Life is strange looks sick, perfect dark gives me deus ex cross mirrors edge vibes and fable looks incredible. Might be the first mgs game I play too. setting the corpo filthiness of Microsoft aside for a moment, *Doom, Expedition 33, South of Midnight, Snake Eater, Flintlock, Age of Mythology Retold, Winter Burrow, Mixtape, Double Exposure, Mechabreak, Wuchang, AC Shadows, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2* & *Flight Sim Careers* all speak to me, and *Avowed* & *Perfect Dark* look surprisingly great. never thought they'd take *GEARS* back to E-Day, so that's a welcome surprise as well. can't believe almost zero gameplay for *Fable* again, and no gameplay for *Dragon Age* again, though, smh. solid show, 8/10.

Probably wouldve had to shut down more if they hadn't. There wasn't enough growth, so they had to cut costs, or they could've lost investor confidence, which can be disastrous. Also, "some of the most talented and creative creators" is definitely an exaggeration. They were good, but I also doubt they were static teams, and it's not like other studios owned by xbox can't hire any of the people from those other studios if they're really that great. The most original game I can think of from any of them recently is Deathloop, and no one even talked about it despite it having great gameplay and a genuinely unique and original idea that I don't think I've seen even attempted anywhere else. And that came out 3 years ago. So it's not a surprise they were the ones chosen for the chopping block. It is a shame 343 survived, though...

Um…good diversity of games. Perfect Dark and Fable environments look great, however I’ve noticed ever since the last State of Decay on Xbox ONE the Xbox character designs have an across the board lower detail look (less dense meshes) and often as a result they veer towards more stylized/cartoonish looks. With Series S being lower spec’d it makes sense of course, but they don’t really appeal to me form the outset.
