Man, Im kinda glad that I started picking up 360 games back in 2019. But also very annoyed because a lot of games that have gone up in value, I have seen and thought about buying them for $20-$30, 3-4 years ago.

Great job on this entire series. You are the OG when it comes to talking about 360 prices going up. Best thing people can do is go to their local game stores. In my experience, like you said, are lagging behind with their prices. I was the only one buying up 360 games for the past 6 months in my city and that changed last week. The few games I didn’t get to buy, were finally bought up. You can only buy so much, even if they are considered “cheap.”

Any game that went up, is now sold out on all the little store websites i would frequent, meaning I just missed the giant flood lol. I started my X360 collection 5 years back so i realy like this kind of price chart overviews.I payd bottom prices for my games and it's always nice to see interest rising.I live in the EU and video game prices are lower then the US but there is a strange trend going on.Sellers and resellers like to use US pricecharting sales to boost profits so it's very interesting to follow the US price chartings for me.Thx for you'r efforts.

Feels good to have been on top of a lot this stuff, before the apocalypse began. 10 years ago I was out there buying all these obscure gems like Knights Contract, Lollipop Chainsaw, Wet, X Blades, Magna Carta 2, etc, when those games first released. Literally mint condition copies I bought new. Because I knew the critics were wrong, I knew they were gonna be overlooked gems. In all, I have about 260 Xbox 360 games, probably 1/3rd of which are these overlooked gems. When I see something that looks cool, I buy it. The hype train can leave without me. Heck, I'm doing the same right now with the PS5. While everyone is whinin' "waaahh 9th gen sucks, there's nothing to play" I'm steady picking up all sorts of overlooked gems. I won't be scrambling for those down the road, when everyone wakes up to the fact that print runs in the 2020s are universally small, and there's all sorts of sub $70 games you can pick up on disc that are worth having in the collection. Just the other day, Pacific Drive PS5 physical edition. Years down the road? Everyone will be going "OMG Pacific Drive I need that in my collection, let's bid war this thing to the moon on eBay!" Not me. You see a gem no one is talking about, new or old and the price is fair, you just buy it. You don't wait for it to become super FOMO'd collector stuff. Buy the gems first, the common stuff can always wait.

Child of Eden on Xbox360 is a spiritual successor to Rez supposedly made by the same developer. It’s always with the Kinect games but it can be played with a controller. Fun game with nice graphics, gameplay and music. It’s $5 and is backwards compatible.

I'm commenting this on April 29/30th 2024 and almost all the games you mentioned in the video are $150+, a couple are almost $300 (CAD) now but 3 are currently under $100 for now. I'm kicking myself for not picking up all the games mentioned last year now. (except for DOA xtreme 2 luckily i got that) but the point is that within 2 weeks the prices have 100-200% increases and its insane to be watching it happen. I'm currently on the look out for xbox 360 games before local used game stores start catching on. but to anyone else kicking themselves for not buying these games sooner your not alone. would be awesome if you did a follow up video on all the crazy rare & expensive xbox 360 games like after July or something to see if prices have calmed down or have increased even more. anyways love the videos .

I would say that collecting Xbox 360 games will probably hold their value in the retro market. Because of the fact that they are backwards compatible on the Xbox Series X. Sadly many of the pricier 360 games either suck or I,m just not interested in.

Yesterday was a great hull for me. Picked up a N64 with the expansion pack (no controller) for $50 and inbox ps4 v2 for $12 But the best find of the day was Halo Wars LE factory Sealed for $20. Some items I'm keeping but most of it will be sold. Total amount spent is $200 and total value $800.

Another game that’s uncommon/ rare is Infernal: Hells Vengeance. It’s been a $15-$20 game Canadian for a while now and I checked recent sold listings on eBay and copies have been selling for $260+ in the last few days! I bought in on eBay about a year and a half ago for $15 Canadian free shipping, boy I’m glad I grabbed it when I did. Another one to keep your eye on is WarTech: Senko No Ronde. It’s also shot up in price out of nowhere and I paid $5 for it a few years ago.

It doesnt get any more MINT than a FRESH new SEALED copy than that. I would have likely torn it completely open for that minty freshness as my new main copy. This was before the latest price jump that it came up for auction in an auction group and I passed on it (didnt bid higher).

It's not a bad time to start, but PS4 is still a ways away from bottom yet. We're just starting to see devs moving away from cross gen releases completely now. Lots of people still haven't even made the jump up to current gen. PS4 is essentially still a live platform.

@D34d1y1 I started into PS4 buying a little over a year ago. It's not a bad time to start sniffing around. Prices are going to come down more yet. People haven't started really dumping their PS4s to the market yet though. PS4 collecting is going to be a bit of a different beast. It's lifespan drug on for far longer than it should have probably. It has an absolutely massive library of physical releases. The prevalence of small run games on the platform was huge. It will be interesting to see where prices go for cross platform games and limited print run games. Or what kind of adoption full set collecting gets for such a gigantic number of games.

@@BurnTheFlag I mean I don't think it is more than the amount of PS2 games and there are a lot of limited run games for that as well. I think the big difference is some games were primarily digital release. Like trails of cold steel was only physical for the collector edition

@D34d1y1 I can't think k of anything on PS2 that approaches the level of manufactured scarcity that PS4 has. Take Rule of Rose as an example as its the only higher end game I've seen people put some sales numbers towards. I've seen estimates ates of 10-20,000 copies pressed, which is pretty damn low, and it is roughly a $1000 game today. Greatest Hits needed to pull a minimum of 400,000 copies to get the red label release. Sile t Hill 2 and Def Jam Fight For NY will both pull $200+ range still. When you come ahead and look at the hundreds of LRG titles released for PS4. 5-6000 copies was a massive pre-sale. Alot were down in that 1000-1500 area. Alot of those games are $100+ already, and they are primarily held by resellers and dedicated collectors already. Those proces aren't going down in my opinion. In a few years you will have to be loaded if you think you're going to dive in on a full set. If I really wanted to get ahead of the curve on PS4 prices. I'd be looking really close on the flopped LRG pre-sales.

The xbox 360 is kind of like MS's Dreamcast in terms of how well it's loved compared to all the other of their console iterations. Ya, like you said, common games can become pricey. It happened with Earthbound on the SNES which was a common game for the long time. Some people would auto assume that because something is rare, it would be costly, but there's a lot of rare games which aren't worth much. 'Grats on finishing the series.

I work at a Gamestop that sells retro games here in the states. I would take this video with a grain of salt because these are Canadian values. I,m not saying that these games he mentioned are not rare/uncommon or that they haven't gone up in price. Its just many of these games are $10 to $ 30 cheapee here in the States. Especially if you find them at Gamestop in store or online.

@@LegallyInsaneGamer Even still you can get most of the games you stated in the video cheaper if you know where to look. You also got to take into consideration many prices are marked up on online market places to cover the fees and at times shipping. If your want to save money you should find prices that are $10 to $30 cheaper. And as a seller you if you want to actual sell the item mark it down $10 or %15 less than everyobe else. I made a lot of money over the pandemic as a reseller that sold games and other stuff at moderate price. And not on the high end of prices. Because I wanted to sell product and make money faster. Than charge the high average price and jusy have product sitting on my shelf. Because I am competing with everyone else selling at the same price.

I don’t get why verdict day is so pricey considering it’s freaking $20 on the digital store. I’d understand if it was delisted… i don’t get it. It’s probably going to jump even higher when they shut down the marketplace in july.

It's because people like me don't want a digital copy. Never in my life would I buy a digital game that I can get as a physical (and I usually avoid digital console games all together but I will buy the odd hidden gem or really good digital only game for the Switch for example; I bought and own a measly total of 2 digital only games that I can think of). But you also make a good point that once they remove it from the store it will likely rise even higher.

@@LegallyInsaneGamer im the same the way I’d always prefer physical but when you see some of those digital games going for a couple bucks always on sale it’s hard to resist lol I know ima have to pay eBay prices for some original Xbox games that I really want 😡 it is what it is. Lol

@Shawnvbrunt I wish I was messing around 😄. I did play fallout 2 back in the day and back then it was under black isle studios. And only just recently did I start playing morrowind on the OG Xbox which I plan to go back and beat eventually

Morrowind was great man never did get to trying the classic fallouts. If you haven’t played oblivion get into that one at some point it’s still very fun. All the new Bethesda titles go downhill a bit Skyrim and the fallouts but they are still pretty great. Except for the online trash haha

I got the Xbox 360 Oblivion which I will likely play after beating Morrowind and after that I got the Nintendo Switch version of Skyrim ready to go!

Holy shit, I had to double-check my Bullet Witch copy, and thankfully I have the poster! I think I'm gonna put it on the wall in the game room :) don't worry, I don't punch holes in my posters ;) I'm really glad to come to find most people's 360 lists since this price jump thing started, I already have almost every game I would want anyway, guess I did pretty well!
