Xbox 360 graphics glitches from failing GPU

The underfill layer between the dye and substrate is failing causing odd graphical effects on this Xenon Xbox 360. It's still working reliably and has not thrown up any errors yet, just producing odd effects. Surely if I use this any longer, it will throw an E74 system failure message and/or RROD.
I've used this system probably 5 hours in total since I've owned it. it was failing then. In one instance, the screen was borderline unusable but still displaying.

Ah, Hexic HD. That's one of the first few games I played on the Xbox 360! Well the very first game we played was Kinect Adventures, disc copy which came bundled with the console (along with the Kinect). But Hexic HD is one of the next several games we loaded and played on there. But um anyways. Definitely early signs of a hardware defect there. By the way I've noticed, some of the recent videos you uploaded like this one are in high quality, 1080p, little noticeable compression. While some others, are in 480p resolution, with probably low bitrate as there are a lot of noticeable compression artifacts. Why is that? I'm just wondering here. Gonna put up vid of my broken 360 S on my channel up soon as well.

For my video quality variation. It depends if I'm using my work phones. My primary one is an iPhone SE (2nd generation) and also a Samsung A52 which is only when I need to help out users on the Samsungs. But primarily it's just used for photos and videos My really bad camera is my old Huawei GT3 I got back in Jan 2017. The lens fell out of that Huawei and it gets dirty too often. I think I might have a lower quality video setting set

@@realgroovy24 Ah, okay. I see. iPhone SE 2nd gen. That's the exact phone I have right now! Got it back in November 2021 when parents upgraded phones again. If you go to the camera settings in the settings app, there's 60 FPS, 4K, and even both 4K 60FPS modes you can select there. Nowadays in the pursuit of quality (and since I have all the editing power at my desktop here anyway, as well as the upload speeds), I select the highest resolution and framerate combo available on a camera. Haven't gotten around to uploading a video recorded from my current phone yet, but I did some editing tests and I am pretty excited to make and publish some videos. That makes sense, explains it now. So I'm guessing the iPhone SE and Samsung A52 are the work phones, while the Huawei GT3 is your current personal one?

I have an xbox 360 that red ringed on me recently and when i try to find the secondary error code it gives out this long string of 0's and 1's and i haven't been able to find anything about this on the internet. Does anyone know whats going on?

@@spiritairfan that video was a temporary upload to show a friend of mine on that odd issue. He had never seen that particular fault. He has done many RGH/JTAG mods and a few repairs.

That was the last time I powered that one up in my video. I assume it still does the same thing. I put it back in my 360 corner with my other 15 odd machines. Mainly Falcon/Jasper phats, but two slims and two E models.

Failing GPU on the older models, really common unfortunately! I don't think any haven't been bitten from launch until the Falcon model that came out in Sept 2007. Most fail in a way where the system recognizes the failure and red rings on startup. Physical connections inside the GPU itself break from heat stress over time.
