God YES 🙌🏼 Pleasssse Be True.. I would get it in Both PlayStation & Xbox & Complete it on both! Blot was the First Huge RPG I ever completed when I finally got an Xbox360 & it is the reason I love RPG's so much today! Oblivion was always a lot more Varied & unique as compared to Skyrim. And the beginning of the game is one of my favorite first 5-10 hours in any game, ever!

​@turismofoegaming8806 that's odd. I found oblivion to be a really slow starter. First 5 hours were a little tedious. And I got hit by a vampire pretty early. Which sucked a bit. But it opens up as you start to really develop your build.

@@JayWood2010It is also cost. It would cost them around $6B to buy them out. Sony struggled with the $3.6B acquisition of Bungie. $6B is nothing to a MS or Apple but for Sony that is an extremely risky purchase, especially if they have to take on debt to do it.

PlayStation itself is valued at $45 billion. They aren't the big player their fans think they are. The Bungie aquisition was a huge deal for them. We have seen how that has panned out. Add to that their movie flops, like Kraven the Hunter, along with Concord. Sony aren't in a position to be frivolous with their money. So yes, cost was definitely a factor. If it wasn't, their share would at least be much higher than 10%. Tencent also have shares in Kadokawa.

The reason Xbox, well more so Zenimax, didn't keep Tango is that their size versus what they could output was too big and mismatched. Tango was 100 strong prior to Krafton working on AAA games. If they were 50 people and doing Hi-Fi Rush style games, they'd be maintained. The other issue was supporting them in Japan without a major dev centre was rough. What Microsoft Gaming wants is an established publisher out there, who can develop a support pipeline for projects in Asia. Perhaps if they had like SEGA, they'd have been able to upkeep Tango.

Coming off of Skyrim, I tried getting into Oblivion. But I just couldn't. The movement felt clunky, the npcs looked like chipmunks with their cheek pouches stuffed. If the remake gets improved visuals and movement controls, I'd be down to give it another go. My only concern are the rumors about it using UE5. The GameBryo Engine and the Creation Engine are both very mod friendly engines. UE isn't. Hopefully, Oblivion is getting remade in Creation Engine. I really enjoy Skyrim, and I think it's because of how much it reminds me of The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit, which are also my favorite trilogies.

Yall have no idea how hyped I would be for an Oblivion remake. That’s in my top 5 all-time favorites list and I would def buy it day one on PC (and PS if it comes to that platform) in addition to playing it on Xbox through Game Pass. Oblivion always felt like a more realistic and darker fantasy story, but on top of that the gameplay and the unique characters you could create was also in itself more original and more unique. I would be happy to get an remaster to oblivion for PS4, Xbox one, PS five, series consoles and possibly switch? But I just know they would skip releasing it on the Xbox, even though a remastered version, would still be absolutely fine on the Xbox and having trophies on the PS4 would be worth it for PlayStation players to run through and be able to unlock the platinum for it on there! My guess is it'll only be on PS five and Xbox series consoles which means I won't even be able to get it on Xbox because I don't have a series yet ... in fact, I just purchased a new Xbox one X this past month because my original one needs thermal paste and I will have to do some surgery here soon... the fact that they screwed us over where that console is concerned is the reason I have not got a series X..... but I will eventually I guess? If they stop screwing up.

Avowed is from Obsidian, TES is Bethesda. Don't see why not. Besides, Fable is supposed to launch also in 2025. Xbox owns TES, Fallout, Starfield, the Outer Worlds , Avowed, Pillars of Eternity, wasteland, FABLE, etc It's not surprising that they can launch 2 big RPGs in the same year.

Oblivion was a timed Xbox 360 exclusive maybe the remake could follow its footsteps. Not sure how I feel about it being a UE5 game. Some devs can get decent image quality (Lords of the fallen, remnant @, Altered) alot of other devs not so much.

I'm so glad i've played Trails in the Sky before this remake.Trails Through Daybreaks localisation got butchered, apparently they are using Xseeds script,but i'm skeptical as to whether, dialogue will get altered or not. For anyone that hasn't played any of the Legend of Heroes Trails games, the Sky trilogy is the place to start if you don't want any kind of spoilers throughout the series. Regarding Oblivion and Skyrim i personally enjoyed Skyrim more. Having played through both. If there is a remake/remaster i felt i'd seen enough of it's game and dlc not to bother with the game again. Some games i can replay but Oblivion wouldn't be one i'd want to revisit. Morrowind would be a better game to update because that game was a buggy mess.

What happened with Tango Gameworks is one of the many self inflicted black eyes for Xbox. All their money, all their studios, all the IP that they own, yet their hardware is stagnant.
