Even though it was only a handful of games this developer direct was pretty stellar... I didn't have a lot of interest for south of midnight but I do now. I only played ninja gaiden 1 on the original Xbox so the new one looks amazing and having black remade on unreal 5 and dropping today is an excellent treat. I only played doom 2016 so I have much to catch-up on... The only one that I wasn't crazy about is expedition 33 cause I just can't get into turn based fighting, although, this seems more like semi-turned based so it could be worth giving it a try... Everyone in the comments that found this disappointing obviously didn't know they announced the games they would showcase (minus ninja gaiden) last week, so why complain that they didn't show the games you wanted? Makes no sense.🙄

I guess to each their own. I'm not into turn based games so 33 expedition was gorgeous but meh for me but I can understand the appeal and hype for that game. South of midnight looks great, story seems decent but man the gameplay feels very bland to me, like by the numbers. But they showed the GOAT hacknslash gameplay and GOAT single player shooter lol so that might have made things worse for me in regards to South of midnights gameplay. NG2B&4 + Doom were AMAZING, proper big E3 announcements done in a small show mostly aimed for the 1st half of the year.

Ninja Gaiden Black is in my top 3 of all time. You have no idea how long I've been wanting a return to form. And while NG4 might not be it (I'm still hyped for it btw looks fantastic, new protagonist + Ryu combo is awesome), NG2 was so close to being a great game and with NG2B it seems like we're getting the fantastic game we were supposed to get with the flaws fixed. And the graphics looks awesome. I hate remasters but this looks like a proper remake and I LOVE REMAKES. Even if I have gamepass I will definately buy NG2Black because NG1&2 are goated for me the rest I don't care much for. And NG4 really made me excited so that's a massive step in the right direction. What a day for hack'n'slash fans haha. I'm so happy.
