Xbox Games Showcase 2024 Was Pretty Solid - Impressions

Xbox Games Showcase 2024 just concluded and wow, I think Xbox put together a solid showing. With games like Perfect Dark, DOOM The Dark Ages, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, plus a NEW GEARS of War game, Gears of War E-Day, this was a stacked presentation. In the video today I will cover my thoughts and impressions of the stand out moments from the presentation. Expedition 33 is the most excited I've been for a new IP since Titanfall. Game wears the love of Lost Odyssey on its sleeve and I'm 100% on board

Think it definitely was a W showcase lotta wow moments for me (Doom and Stalker being some notable ones for me) and I think they had a good mix of stuff to show which is always great… a lil something for everyone which I can appreciate… definitely hype for the future of Xbox… also GEARS WTF?!?!?!

Gears had the right vibe, and hopefully, the gameplay backs it up. That Doom trailer was legitimately one of the best trailers I've seen in YEARS. Awesome raw gameplay! 🔥

I still think the best bet for a 343 “remaster” would be to remaster the MCC and get all the games to look like they had Halo 2. Super ambitious? Yes. But just aim for the release of the next Xbox generation so they can start that off with a bang.

I feel like they made the decision to deliver some games on Playstation too soon. This showcase was exactly what the brand needed. Gears of War looked awesome and a return to form. Black Ops 6 is looking great (COD player since COD2), Perfect Dark was surprising, Indiana Jones felt like a movie with the cutscene and how the story was being told and Stalker 2 looked really cool despite never having played a stalker game. Sarah Bond was very cringe to me imo and I don't like seeing her on the stage.

It was a " Good ' showcase. It's not going to Cure the Xbox Platforms ill's overall [ over a decade of BS from Xbox ] , but, a step in the right direction .

still not interested in GAMEPASS, I don't like the idea of renting Games. So much Damage has been done by Microsoft/Xbox platform, to they're reputation overall, it almost doesn't matter, at this point for me. But, I can't hate on the showcase, it was good, nothing earth shattering, but good. 👍 It's too bad, it took this long for Microsoft/Xbox to produce the kind of games I like to play, STORY DRIVEN 1st Person shooter's. Better get these games out soon, like I said, I've pretty much moved on, resolved in my mind, gaming is over.

Everything they showed was great, but are these games actually going to be good. Xbox hasn't hasld a good track record in recent years with there first party titles at launch. The only game I actually trust will be good at launch is the new Doom game. Much love BBK and keep up the good work 👍
