Update! Many people on Reddit and Microsoft forums experiencing this crash problem have found that uninstalling the game and playing it through Cloud Gaming allows it to work. That's what I did and now it's working but it sucks because no one wants to play a game on the Cloud. But at least right now it's not crashing on Series X. Hopefully they've got a Game Pass patch coming soon. I'm going to buy the game on PS5 when it comes out in the Spring.

I'm several hours into Indiana Jones and loving every second of it! I haven't had a single crash playing on Xbox Series X. I don't put my Xbox into sleep mode, I use the option to power down the console. Word on the street is that MachineGames is planning to make this game into a trilogy. Merry Christmas everybody! 🎄

Merry Christmas! I just wrapped up this game on Game Pass without a single technical hiccup, and I've had my Xbox Series X since launch. Now, I'm eagerly awaiting the PS5 Pro disk version - because, why not? The game's a solid 86 on Metacritic, and even Digital Foundry's tech review was surprisingly positive. Did I miss something?

The problem I have is the constant hand holding. To name one is the highlighted platforms to jump to. Games used to let the player to work puzzles out for themselves but not anymore it seems.

I preinstalled the game through Gamepass on an Xbox S model and have been playing it casually since it released. I haven't had any freezes yet but I have fallen into a crack behind the game scenery. It recovered nicely. My problem is that I didn't explore enough before inadvertently moving to the next world location... I'm traveling back to previous locations now to try to find what I missed before and to do more side quests before finishing the main quests.

I think maybe your Xbox might have collected too much dust and is overheating. Or certain hardware revisions are affected by a OS/driver bug.

Clayton, everything you described about "being" Indiana Jones in this game is exactly why you should want to play Batman: Arkham Shadow on a Meta Quest 3 or 3s headset. Arkahm Shadow has been my clear VR Game of the Year and it should have got some level of discussion for Game of the Year.

Im playing on PC via steam, I have a CTD within the first 5 minutes of the game. I cannot make it past the fallen branch after crossing the stream. Ive tried compatibility mode, lowering system settings (I have a 7900XT,64 gigs of ram) and still no fix!!

Indiana Jones is the only AAA game of the last few years that hasn't crashed once for me. I bought a digital copy on my Xbox series S and it's been running great. Sorry to hear it's not working for you. Looking through reviews it seems like it works great for most people. There seems to be a small unlucky few having problems. I wonder if it's an issue with the Xbox itself.

I used to play Apex Legends on my Xbox consoles. When I migrated to my Xbox SX the game ran very well until it did not. The video in the game started stuttering (I called it micro freezing) and it was impossible to play the game. You engage another team, the game micro freezes and then you are down on the ground. I spent a lot of time searching for solutions and could not find any. There were other players experiencing the same issue. I had to stop enjoying Apex Legends on my XSX and have not touched it for over two years. I mostly moved away from console and spending most of my gaming time on my PC. I really don't see how Microsoft can release a new console again with all these failures in recent years and hope to be a viable option for gamers.

i'm seeing it here as well... The first time i started playing this case a week ago i wasn't having any issues at all over the past 2 days video quality via xbox live streaming has fallen off a cliff and it literally looks like it's streaming at 480p if that.

Im 24hrs in, only crashed once but it turned my xbox off for like 15 seconds. When I got back in, I can't grab anything, in place of the X and circle animation is a _grip, I've loaded past saves, and hard reset but nothing has worked.

Indiana Jones for me was the biggest surprise in gaming for 2024. I had no interest in this game and thought it would be garbage. While the gameplay is average but the developers nailed the atmosphere of Indiana Jones movies which knocked it out of the park.

Strange. I'm on Xbox Series X. Been playing Indy since launch and have had zero problems. No freezes, no crashes. Works perfectly. I'm in 🇬🇧 and after speaking to my friends, they've had no problems either. Only thing we can think is MAYBE it's something to do with the UK power supply vs USA. Our supply is much beefier and supplies many more volts. Don't know why this should effect the game but it's only diff we can think of (apart from PAL vs NTSC). I'm playing this on PC. was very surprised at how fun it is. this is not a shooter game or stealth game. its meant to be wacky, just like how Indy always gets in fist fights instead of shooting like the movies. I like the dishonored style world where you can get to an objective multiple ways.

Thanks for the heads-up, Clayton. I don't have the latest Xbox but am currently playing through the Tomb Raider reboots on PC (Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider). I just finished the second game this morning. Looking at the footage you posted it seems to me that the Indiana Jones has borrowed somewhat from these games. The zip line sequence looks identical. I would highly recommend picking them up during the Steam sale. Personally, I wasn't a fan of Tomb Raider on the original Playstation but the reboots have really impressed me. They're only a few $s each and are highly polished cinematic games with great gameplay and no bugs. Strangely enough I was thinking to myself that it would be great if there was an Indiana Jones game along the same lines and had no idea that there was one already. I will definitely pick it up if it makes it to PC and they sort out the bugs.
