I think all ABK games will be on Game Pass, but they won't add all at the same time. Too much COD for one day. I only complete their single player and skip online. I think Game Pass is more valuable than Netflix too. New movies costs only like 15$. New games costs 70$ now, and Indie games have become expensive over the years. Many games i wanted came on Game Pass and weren't as expected. Saved me a lot of money. Then you can play day 1 70$ AAA Game releases without paying anything extra. I wonder how people can even complain about the price of GP and now also it's low price increase. There is so much value for a small amount of monthly fee. In fact. Ultimate with price increase costs less than one new Blu-Ray movie here.

It's crazy how the whole perception flipped. Redfall drops, everyone says Xbox is just finished as a competitor. Now with one showcase plus other titles known to release this year and in 2024, Xbox is on fire and Sony dropped the ball big time and doesn't really have much at all. Xbox always had stuff coming. We have had unprecedented inflation since 2020 began, so the hit they were taking per console sold has gone up vs down. The dollar has lost value these last years due to government spending and all of Microsoft's overhead has gone up, therefore the prices have to go up. Labor costs as well as supplier costs have increased.

I read a few (more than a few) articles on the immediate first day news revelations and overall feelings. I have to say I was not expecting to need popcorn for this. Okay so the FTC threw basically everything out (like they aren't even considering PC gaming despite probably that being their best argument with Activision Blizzard being primarily PC and PC gaming being almost entirely Windows based) and are sticking with their gerrymandered market definitions (which literally gives Nintendo an actual monopoly in this case against Xbox), to solely focus their entire argument on the fact that Microsoft will do what Nintendo and Sony have always done and withhold major IP and popular games and content from their competing platform who also happens to be the dominant market leader. Like they even talk about timed exclusivity and exclusive missions and content as if Sony doesn't do that with every other game. I mean heck, they complain about Bethesda exclusives when until this year Sony PS had more Bethesda exclusives than Microsoft come out this gen due to timed exclusives. I thought they'd at least stick to permanent straight up exclusives for their own sake. Also can we talk about how Activision's whole role in being present seems to be explain all the ways they're a terrible company so it'd be in competition's best interest if Microsoft bought them because they literally couldn't harm the market and industry worse than Bobby Kotick if they tried? The price raises for the consoles and game pass definitely suck, but granted were said already last year. I've seen many articles call the $1 to $2 GP raise a price hike and I really wish entertainment journalists would stop using that as a headline. It just has to he opposite effect and desensitizes people to the idea of unfair price raises. It's what allows business to get away with raising prices even more in the future. On a more pessimistic side, the price increases this gen have really summed it up perfectly. AAA Games play worse and launch with less content and have more Microtransactions and dlc add ons, so clearly they need a base price increase (loved it even more when all games were still cross gen and charged different prices for minimal improvements). 3 to four years into the generation and supply issues and shortages are finally going away, so yeah let's raise the price of outdated hardware (no but really though what is wrong these messed up sense of supply and demand? A first year high schooler could comment on how dumb these decisions are). I know inflation exists, but again it really doesn't work when all prices aren't increasing. The fact that Microsoft is willing to raise the prices of their products but not employee salaries and continues to downsize raises MAJOR redflags and is not okay. Heck, their stock valuation is doing better than ever and their still cutting 343i studios right when Halo Infinite is doing its best and the community is hyped and looking forward to stuff like the cinematic cutscenes. At least in he series S appears to be spared but honestly unless they're doing a console refresh with the X and throwing in the latest components I don't want to see a price increase from a company that analysts are debating whether it can reach a stock valuation of 5 trillions USD within 5 years.

Sony should have invested this time and effort into VR .They could have developed an amazing launch for psvr2 rather than argue over this .Sony lost the streaming battle but they had a chance to make vr mainstream and claim it.

i understand the thought behind exclusives. To sell consoles. But both PlayStation and Xbox could double their money on sales of games if these games weren't exclusives. everyone would win if exclusive went away. Exclusives were a good idea in the early days of the "console wars". but these days, people are going to buy the console their friends are on, not by which console has the better exclusives. I have a gaming PC, and a PlayStation. so exclusive don't bother me. But all gamers win (even Xbox and PlayStation) in the long run if exclusives went away..

PlayStation gamers shouldn't be mad about Indiana Jones being exclusive to Xbox and PC when they got Spider-Man exclusive to them. It's amazing how for years they said that Microsoft needed to get more first-party support so they can have more exclusive and then when it finally does happen the same Fanboys cry that it's not fair that those exclusive games are not on Playstation.
